5 out of 5 stars A great product, at a great price, backed by great service!   July 17, 2008
I have used this table and I must agree with the other review, it's too good an item for the price. I had always wanted to build my own router table, but not having used one before I didn't know what features I wanted, or how much use it would get for the money spent. This router table includes just about everything an armature woodworker would need. In includes the fence, feather and hold down attachments, miter guides, vacuum port, bit inserts. It took me about an hour to put it together and after first use I couldn't believe what I received for such a small price. Plus, in about 30 seconds it folds up and can be stored out of the way until its next use.

I accidentally broke the adapter plate while trying to remove a bit while the plate was unsecured to the top, the router fell and broke the plate. I called support, within a few days I received a new one in the mail; no questions asked. It's a pleasure doing business with a company that provides a great product, and a great price, backed by great service.

5 out of 5 stars Great value, small footprint, very well made   July 3, 2008
I purchased this router table as opposed to a standard table mainly because of storage space issues. My tools are all stored in a small tool room in my walk-out basement so space is a huge issue for me. With this table, I can just fold it after use and hang it on the wall. The table exceeded all expectations as far as build quality. The frame is very sturdy and stable and everything went together as it should. All in all, this table is a bargain that I don't think could be beat.

I was in the market for a router table, almost went with another more expensive one, then I saw this. I was very hesitant at 1st, solely on price alone. I figured a router table should not cost only $60 and be as good as everyone says it is. Well. . . I was wrong. It is that good. I'll give you the straight up on this - it's a dang sturdy router table. When the UPS brought it up to my house, he was having trouble carying the box. I was thinking, this guys a wimp, the table couldn't be that heavy. Then he handed it over to me and I almost fell to the ground. It says it's only about 45 pounds total, but it feels like it's about 75 pounds. The table alone has to be 50. Of course I aint no Arnold Schwarzenegger either.

All the knobs, adjustments, miters, etc work beautifully, the quick release is pretty cool. . .once I figured out how to use it. Assembly was simple, took about an hour. The fence is part plastic, part metal, but very heavy duty and straight. I've been playing with it all day and just love it. Should fit any router you have.

The one con is that the handles on the legs that tighten the table and legs seem like they may not last long. They are plastic and the threads are plastic. Loosening and re-tightening them all the time may wear them out quick. They seem a little fragile.

Bottom line, you don't get what you pay for in this. . .you get more. It's a fantastic deal and seems a bit underpriced for what you get.

5 out of 5 stars Wow, great value / great table   June 12, 2008

Sure you can make your own table. Sure you can probably buy a better table. But if you are a beginner like I am then this was a fantastic deal. It is unfortunately sold out now, and was a closeout so not sure if there will ever be more offered. But as everyone else said this is a high quality, useful table. I'm looking forward to learning my router techniques.

5 out of 5 stars Great Deal... Other Favorable Reviews Not Exaggerated   June 7, 2008
I was expecting to get something smaller and not as well designed or manufactured. This is quite a good enough table for a hobbyist, and at a terrific price. There is nothing flimsy about it. It's solid and the manufacturer excelled on several points.

Think that there must be some sharp edges on all of that angle iron? Guess again. Well, I did find just one edge on a tilt bracket that wasn't rounded, but all of the others that you could possibly get your hand on are wonderfully smooth... due to a deliberate and consistent effort by Wolfcraft.

The fence has adjustable faces, to allow matching to the bit size and to the offset. I took off one of the faces and confirmed that the back of it is flat enough to allow a shim to be inserted behind it on the outfeed side so as to allow use of the router table as a jointer.

Tips if you just ordered yours but haven't assembled it yet: use cutting oil to seat the self-threading screws for the switch box (which, by the way, has two outlets on it so that the switch controls both the router and your shop vac); and, you may have to jerk the router handles with a good torque when you're installing the router, as otherwise you won't be able to lock the adapter base plate properly (and if it doesn't lock the red circular locking knob that is inset into the top of the table will be sticking up a little bit).

The manual is clearly written with good illustrations, and it even has a brief tutorial on how to make simple cuts.

Nifty, nifty, nifty for the money. It's probably a discontinued model, so take this as confirmation that Wolfcraft, which, I see, still makes router tables, knows how to make a decent hobbyist-style router table.
