 Love washing my cars and toys November 4, 2009

I sorta knew what I was looking for and after some effort found this Gilmour Foamaster. I use it to soap down my car then wash it with a wash mitten. I then rinse out the bottle and use a few ounces of Jet Dry to rinse the car really well. This might cost a bit more, but the labor is free and the results are suprising. I would like to purchase an additional bottle so I wouldn't have to rinse out my soap.

Don't let 4/5 fool you, I am very happy with this purchase. It does a fantastic job of aerosolizing any car soap and therefore clinging to your car for long periods. I find it especially useful in Florida with these crazy lovebugs that can ruin paint in a few weeks if left on your car. This product, by clinging, softens the bugs enough to simply wipe them away. The quick disconnect and easy foam shutoff makes it nice in that you don't have to switch nozzles to rinse. I love having this in my bag of car washing tricks.

This a GREAT product!
Car/truck/trailer/motor home need a cleaning, but you don't have time?
This product will help. Simply use the detachable gun to rinse your car or windows/deck furniture/etc, attach the foam unit back onto the gun, soap down the car, and use your wash mitt to remove the dirt.
A quick rinse and you're done!
I just RINSED-WASHED-RINSED-DRIED my car (mid-size Chevy) in less than 10 minutes.
Think of the time savings if you need to wash a large boat, motor home, trailer, or airplane. Use it on your home's windows, too!
Plus, you'll use LESS water.

so-so it doesn't create a lot of foam like i had hoped and it depends on the soap on how well it foams up but even with super high foaming soap it is just ok. It is also a little pricey for what is actually does but it is better than soap and water and a bucket...

Instructions are poor on setting the gun up, but once you figure it out, it does an amazing job. It generates a great deal of foram, moreso than the cheap $8 ones from discount stores. To get the max benefit from this you must use a quality car soap, such as Duragloss, which you can find at your local independent auto parts store. Forget the soaps you find at WalMart, AutoZone, or Advance. They're thin and don't contain lubricants. Duragloss costs $15 for the jug, but you save in the long run. You can set the foam gun to it's lowest setting and still blanket your car down in suds. With this gun, you can omit bucket washing by directing the gun at your sponge and washing after a quick presoak.
