smallest drill set August 8, 2009 P. Boussina (CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I needed to drill thread size hole inside a piece of plastic, I thought about doing it with a hot needle but did not want any heat mangling in the area. I bought this and did not expect much. The case is hard to open, need to use a screw driver and open very gently or all the pieces will fall. I used the pieces with my deremel to drill the plastic piece. I was very please with the results. I can not do with out this bits at this time. I wiahed I had a better case. The bits are too small for any of the case that I have.
Become blunted very quickly on metal March 4, 2009 lena-lena (Granny Smith's Golden View) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These bits start out fine, but become blunted and unusable after about half a dozen drilled holes in any metal. I attempted to use these bits for drilling holes in copper and silver, which are soft metals and should be fine for any hardened steel implements. Lubrication doesn't help in any noticeable way. You get what you pay for, I suppose.
Good Bits, Terrible Case January 12, 2009 D. Blake 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
The drill bits were fine, they do what they're supposed to do but the case they came in is just a cheap little plastic thing that is miserable to open. Toss the case in the trash and store the bits some other way and you'll be happy.
OK November 13, 2008 K. Lee 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
These bits bend like annealed iron. You can literally bend them into a ring with just your fingers. Somehow they still work ok. I am guessing only the tips are hardened.
The case is horrible. It's very difficult to open without spilling bits everywhere.
But for hand drilling/dremel work, they're great. For sure, these bit are UNBREAKABLE! Very bendable, but not breakable. Just take care when handling them, as you can very easily bend them on accident. :)
Micro Drill Index February 25, 2008 Charles M. Mixon 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Great value. These drills are accurate in size and very sharp. The plastic index also make them easy to store and use.
