Akazuki nails it! November 18, 2009

My husband and I are installing 3/4" Brazilian Cherry... a very hard wood. We were interested in purchasing a nail gun since we both work full time and would only be able to work on installing 900 sq. ft. of flooring at small intervals during the week with more time available on the weekends. After checking out prices on other nailers ($500-$650) it looked like renting would be more reasonable. Thank goodness I decided to check on Amazon and found this nailer for probably less money than it would cost us to rent one considering our schedules. The reviews were very helpful. All of the research prior to this suggested we use a nailer that could shoot 18 gage nails for the type of flooring that we would be installing. After reading the reviews for the Akazuki Nailer we decided to take a chance with this nailer shooting 16 gage nails. No regrets. It works beautifully. Only a couple of the tongues have been split(not severely), but it didn't cause any issues... the next row pulled right in. The only nails that didn't quite set were the operator's error, didn't hit the thing square enough. It is powerful, easy to use, comes with a carrying case full of accessories and well worth the price. I'm 5'2" and have absolutely no issues with using this nailer (might be because I'm lower to the ground!) and my much taller husband hasn't had any issues either. This is a very worthy investment and we are so happy that we found it. According to all of the reviews that we read, it sounds like it will work for any type of solid flooring. Our floors are beautiful, the gun is fantastic and we would highly recommend it for anyone that needs to install solid flooring. The Akazuki has held up great and we think it will withstand many feet of flooring installation. We oil it after every use, which should be done with all pnuematic tools. Buy this tool with confidence! We are so pleased with the quality and especially the price.

Greattttttttttttt product. At first we rent but then figure out it would end up cost a lot of money. so looking at buying a nailer...thinking of buy the brand porter cable at first but it is so expensive so we give this nailer a chance...considering all good review...turn out greatttt investment...Thanks all reviews...save me some $$$$

If you are in the market for a floor nailer look no further. I just bought this one and installed 1800sq ft of bamboo flooring. Excellent performance and I rate this tool as a must have!!!
Excellent Floor Nailer November 3, 2009

I recently purchased this floor nailer and yes, it's a nailer/stapler and I love it.
I used the gun to install 600 square feet of pre-finished Hickory flooring with 2" j-nails and it did a great job and didn't jam once. The main gasket did start to leak, but I loosened up the screws and pushed the gasket material in flush with the sides of the body and re-tightened the screws and the leak stopped. In the future I might replace the gasket with some better material, but I think it's a small price to pay for the price of this gun. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.
