I purchased a Suncast Hose Hideaway this spring thinking it would be a great time saver, as it automatically rewinds the hose for you. It wasn't. It didn't hold the 100' of hose it said it would and I ended up manually coiling the balance in front of the hideaway. It was a dismal failure and not even particularly attractive. I got tired of the unsightly hose coiled in front of the hideaway and decided to just do away with the whole thing and buy an attractive container in which I could coil the entire hose and then cover it. Naturally, the ones I liked the best were the copper or brass ones costing several hundred dollars and they were just way out of my budget. Then I found this one. It is a substantial weight, really looks great, not at all chintzy and it holds all of my hose completely out of sight. There is even enough room to hold most of my garden hand tools too. I am thrilled with it.

During the past few years I've bought every devise made that promised an easy way to pull out hose and rewind it. The last and final devise attached to the garage like an ugly green wart. I could have lived with the appearance but the devise pulled to rewind hose as I pulled it out and I battled it until I dreaded using it.
My extensive group of potted plants are lucky I'm stubborn enough continue strainning against the rewind pull of the hose rewinder.
I enjoyed the ease of the only other hose bowl I've tried..but it was ceramic, small and cracked up the second year during a freeze.
THIS fiberglass hose bowl is enormous enough to hold three connected hoses, the final hose and first used is a lightweight flat hose I simply love for its ease of use.
The bowl allows simple, no pull extention of whatever length of hose I need. Its simple to recoil the hose back inside the bowl AND large enough to keep a few garden tools in the center.
The drain hole in the center is raised so it won't drain until the bottom of the hose bowl fills enough to spill over the drain hole rim, the only negative and easy fix. Before winter I'll drill three holes along the bottom/sides to ensure good drainage.
The hose bowl and lid are heavy enough to take the weight of the hoses, is large, attractive and lets me water my plants with ease. I highly recommend this hose bowl.

I thought this garden hose bowl was a bit on the expensive side, but since there aren't many good looking hose reels to be had, I decided to try it. I really like the look and quality. It is so much better than your typical rolling hose cart!
