Good, But Hoped for Better November 19, 2009 GN (NC) This showerhead works well, but the flow isn't as strong as with the similar type showerhead at the Holiday Inn Express. Not sure if this is due to a difference in the design or perhaps the screen where the showerhead connects to the external plumbing. Our water pressure is quite strong throughout our house so I don't believe that is the issue.
Worst Shower Ever September 23, 2009 Justin Larsen (Los Angeles, CA) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Not even sure its worth going into details. Just dont buy this thing, its horrible.
Decent for a hotel showerhead, but not as thrilling at home September 18, 2009 Omar Siddique (Ellicott City, MD USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm continuing my quest for the perfect shower. I tried this model based on its rave reviews, but found it lacking in 2 of its 3 modes.
I primarily use the "normal" spray pattern; on this showerhead, the flow is pretty minimal and the coverage area is limited. Only 1/3 of the spray nozzles are devoted to this mode, and the spray pattern was weak. The cupped-hands test took several long moments to fill with water.
Futher, the soaker/rinse mode doesn't create a very broad stream of water (nor does it seem to put out any more volume than the normal spray), so I didn't find it useful.
The massage-mode was one of the best I've encountered in a one-piece showerhead, but it isn't a mode I use often.
This unit may be ideal for a hotel (as others mention, it's featured at Holiday Inn Express), which needs to reduce its aggregate water usage, but I conserve water in many ways at home, and my shower is the one place I want to indulge. The lack of a more forceful, more useful "normal" spray pattern makes this showerhead a poor choice for me.
Also, if you are tight on space, there's a 1.5-inch-wide decorative metal rim around the outside of the spray area, which makes this showerhead unnecessarily bulky.
For the basic spray, I much prefer the single-mode Kohler's like Kohler K-10391-CP Devonshire Single-Function Showerhead, Polished Chrome, which put out more water and in a broader pattern. Those units are covered in nozzles devoted to the general spray pattern, rather than just the narrow band of nozzles on this unit.
Not Recommended unless you primarily use the massage mode.
Nice Shower Head But Needs Regular Cleaning August 6, 2009 Rebecca Brace (Dunnellon, FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a private well drawing water from a very nice spring. Great water quality, but has natural minerals, so my experience may not be compared the same to that of a public water supply. The outermost ring of spray heads are ones with the rubber reducers to increase the flow yet conserve water (the two other flow settings in the center of the shower head are open flow) and I am constantly pushing on them and moving them with my fingernail to clear the flow. It doesn't take much to clear them, but I have to do it almost every time I shower, where I didn't have to do that with a cheaper shower head for the 3 prior years on this shower. I do like the shower head and the diversity of the spray, but if you don't maintain the holes regularly, you get spray shooting everywhere. Also, the outer ring spray is very quiet, but the other two settings of full open spray are a bit louder and if you listen to the radio in the shower you may have to turn the volume up a bit more on them.
Finally, a shower head that works August 1, 2009 Ritch M. Lewis (Carmel,) At last. A showerhead that provides a good stream, doesn't clog, and moves easily into massage mode and out again. Plus,it has good looks and quality fabrication that promise a long life. This product was easy to install which is a huge plus.
