This fan does indeed have two settings, they should probably be named 'Very Low' and 'Even Lower'. It is small and looks nice on a desk but if what you need is something to move air around (rather than a desk ornament) I would recommend a different product, this one just does not have enough strength.

Perfect width and height to go right beside my monitor at work, even with the speakers right there. 2 speeds (used to have a sharper image one that died that was 3 speed) but I have found 2 speeds is just fine. very very quiete. love it!

I have tried other types of desk fans, but none have worked as well as this one. It uses 'very little' desk space, is very quiet, and provides more cooling surface than others because of its height.
I recommend it to anyone looking for the ultimate desk fan.
