Well worth the money November 17, 2009 Oscar A. Nunez (Los Angles, CA USA) Well i like this tool set except the very small ones if you put too much pressure on them they bend. But overall its a great product i used it to open my zune, and change the razer outer skin.
good for the money November 4, 2009 Kevin R. Fedewa (Colorado) This is a great set for the money. It is NOT a professional set by any means. Quality is average and it is true that the bits are quite soft and do damage easily. But for the frequency of use this gets for me coupled with the unbeatable price you can't go wrong. Not for everyday use but when you need that weird bit you have it. Maybe you have to buy a new one in a few years- for $13 no biggie.
Great set but use carefully!! October 29, 2009 Scott D. Eddy (California) As others have stated these do appear to be a little weak, but for their size they will do the job, you just have to be careful when using. I use these almost exclusively on PC's and Servers including all of their related parts. The only way to get a really good set is to buy a carbon steel set that's meant for commercial use, but those are very expensive. I use these almost weekly in my business and they have not failed or bent yet.
Very good set for Small Sized work (#4 screws and below) August 27, 2009 Jeffrey H. Lee Linton (California, USA) I've now bought 12 sets of these for my assembly area and those who don't have them are very jealous of those that do. We build cameras using all #0, #2 and #4 screws with all types of heads including torx, which all happened to be included here. I've been using these for about a year and a half and nothing has broken, and the first set still works as well as the newest.
The only advice I would give is that you can buy these direct from the mfr, boxer tools and save [...] a set (in any quantities and especially because of the individual shipping charge.)
Functional, well-made micro-drivers August 26, 2009 Kevin T. Keith (Brooklyn, NY United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The set is exactly what it claims to be, and is well-made, functional, and well-organized. The driver bits are as described in the listing: several types of screwdrivers, Torx bits, and Allen (hex) bits, in a range of small sizes. The screwdriver bits include flat, standard Phillips and Posi-drive Phillips (a Phillips-head with small wings between the crossed head flanges, for more purchase); the standard Phillps driver can be used on Posi-drive screws, but not the other way around, so you have to look closely to be sure you have the correct bit. The precise sizes are listed; essentially they run from "jeweler's" size to the small end of the normal range. The size is engraved on each bit shaft, though the markings are tiny. (Note: the T6 and T8 Torx sizes, and the small Phillips-heads, are appropriate for the case screws on Mac computers; I have used this set for that purpose, and it works great.) The bits appear to be very well-machined; the heads are precisely cut and well-finished. I cannot speak to the hardness treatment, but they appear to be good quality. The bits are all magnetized, and hold small screws very well while placing them in or removing them from threadholes. The driver is a little larger than usual for "jeweler's screwdriver" sets, but is comfortable and easy to hold. The shaft is steel with a standard hex-sided bit holder; the handle portion is covered in plastic with a rubber gripping surface, and the rotating top piece is also plastic. I was a bit leery of the plastic handle at first, but it seems to work OK. The bits and driver are well organized and easily accessible, in angled slots in a sturdy case with a latch; the case and lid are hard plastic, but not too flimsy. In short, this is a good set that is functional and seems to be well-made; it is an excellent deal at the price.
