great space saver November 18, 2009 Brian T. Doherty (Franklin Park, New Jersey United States) I have a one car garage full of stuff and did not want another large item to get in the way but needed something to catch my leafs from my leaf blower/vacuum. It worked great light weight, but sturdy and folds down to just a few inches.
construction excellent, size questionable November 13, 2009 Gerty Gardener (Colorado) I ordered this "43-gallon" container and Fiskars 30-gallon gardening container at the same time. Side by side the Fiskars container is the same diameter and a little taller than the Toro! A 33-gallon trash bag fits nicely in either, so I suspect the Toro measurement is an overestimate. The Toro does have superior construction.
Strong and durable November 6, 2009 Diana (CT USA) I used this spring bucket for my leafs this fall and the size is perfect. The bucket is strong and in good dimension to hold a ton of leafs. I used to wait till the leafs dry and shred them but since I have this bucket, I racked them while they were still wet so it's quite heavy by the time it's full. I dragged the bucket thru my yard appx 100 ft each trip so the handle and bottom has to be strong. I will be great to use for pruning, temporary outdoor party trash can and such.
There's no zipper so if you wish to lower the height, you can always clip on one side so it's tilted in an angle or use other clipper like the ones come with most luggages these days or anything you have can make it work. There're little holes at the bottom so water can escape. I gave this a four stars because I wish it weigh a little lighter and I only used it this fall so yet to tell how well it holds up. I'll definitely recommend this product though.
Impressed with construction of the Spring Bucket October 30, 2009 M.Dando (VA) While I have not used the spring bucket for yard work yet, I am impressed with how well it is constructed. The canvas material seems very durable. The springs are strong enough that they hold the bucket up firmly. The buckles that hold the bucket down when it is compressed for storage are also of seemingly high quality plastic and quite strong. The handles are well placed so that you have nice control when carrying from the top as well as nice control when holding the bucket at the top and bottom for dumping out debris such as leaves, etc. Where I live we can pile our leaves at the street and a crew comes through with a truck that has a big vaccuum hose that sucks up the leaves (later mulched to provide free leaf mulch to county residents). My yard is very hilly, with no access to the back by any wheeled device such as a wheel barrel. So each year I have to fill plastic lawn bags and drag them around front. The spring bucket will be MUCH easier to fill (very large opening), easier to carry, and much, much more durable. If I had an extra set of hands I'd buy another one in a second.
Very Handy & Useful!! October 17, 2009 Steven A. Welch (Phoenix, Az.) This is a very useful item. No more fighting with Plastic leaf bag's. Just tuck it inside and drape over edges. Stores out of the way on wall hook. Would recommend to anyone who does a lot of yard work.
