I was happy to find a replacement chimney for a 20-year-old oil lamp. We use these only occasionally, when there is a blackout. During the great NH black out of Dec. 2008 - when more than 1/2 of the households in the state lost electricity due to an ice storm, we pulled out the oil lamps. Unfortunately, I knocked over the chimney for one while I was lighting it. When I tried to find a replacement locally, I found that many of the oil lamps today are smaller, so the replacement chimneys would not fit my 20-year-old model. Being a frugal Yankee, I was happy to find a replacement part through Amazon, rather than have to replace the whole lamp.
This chimney fits perfectly! And the free shipping kept the price reasonable so that it made sense to replace the part rather than the whole lamp.
