| Customer Reviews: Fits the Hobart Handler 125 nicely but.... February 12, 2009 Cousin Vinny (Scottsdale, AZ United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
.... it's hardly worth $40, even with Free Shipping from Amazon.com. The cover is functionally fine as a pedestrian cover but I'm guessing that any good seamstress or tailor could make a much better one out of an old pair of denim pants or burlap or whatever for considerably less and with more and better features.
It's made in the USA of nylon and is supposed to be weather resistant to help protect the welder from the elements but I seriously doubt it will. There is a large rectangular hole on top of the cover to allow the welder's spring-loaded carry handle to lift up and come through. Also, the front of the cover has a long vertical "slit" on one side to allow the cables to come through and bend off towards the side storage pocket. That slit should have Velcro closure in my opinion so that it stays closed around the cables. The side storage pocket is "floppy" and should have either elastic or Velcro on it to help keep it snug against the welder so that the cables stay cleaner and drier inside it.
If anyone does want to try fashioning a homemade cover out of material, a little bit of quilted padding - like some of the toster, blender and mixer covers have - would be a big plus and it would help protect the welder from bumps and bangs in the truck bed or around the garage.
All-in-all, it's nicely made and it has the "HOBART" name on it in big orange letters if you're into advertising your belongings but realistically, given its actual spartan design, the materials used and the lack of attention-to-detail, it's worth no more than $15 or $20 - and I'm being very generous at that.

Worked as expected. Pretty thick materials so I don't expect it to wear out any time soon. Fits perfect. Holds the hose and cable with no issues.
