Amazon.com Review Save your back from the strain of garden chores with Allsop's innovative wheelbarrow. Say goodbye to heavy, unwieldy metal basins. The lightweight WheelEasy uses fabric canvas to transport waste, and folds for compact storage. Its ground-flush loading design further lessens lifting chores by raking leaves or uprooted weeds straight from the ground into the basin. Foam-rubber handles keep hands comfortable, while preventing them from slipping in damp conditions. The wheelbarrow's fabric surface is made from sturdy, 1000-point, denier nylon coated with vinyl--easy-to-clean with a hose or wet rag. UV-resistant, industrial-strength seams support up to 150 pounds of bark or sod in the 3-cubic-foot basin. Heavy-duty steel and a protective powder-coating help handles endure harsh weather. Designed for even weight distribution, Allsop's basin also provides better balance and comfort than its metal counterparts. The WheelEasy's single, pneumatic rubber tire traverses gardens and sidewalks with ease. Allsop offers replacements for defective products with receipt. When shipped, this wheelbarrow measures 52 by 5 by 11 inches and weighs 12 pounds.--Jessica Reuling

Great Idea But.... November 5, 2009 Melanie G. Willmann (CA USA) Not too much to say about the product. It was a little difficult to assemble. Could have used a third hand. I have used it quite a lot. It torn immediately in several places. I duct taped all places that ripped and it is still going strong. It will carry a heavy load and is good to use when a full size wheelbarrow is too cumbersome. I am a small person and am able to haul heavy loads up outdoor stairs. I would recommend it, just be aware it has some quality flaws.
Great gift for a gardener September 18, 2009 A. Boston (Boston, MA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this for my mom for Christmas '06. She still loves it now! It's durable and the perfect tool for her. She's a gardening nut and constantly has a project going outside. She had trouble maneuvering the regular wheel barrow as it was large and too cumbersome for her, especially up a hill(there's a few in her yard). She was always waiting for my Dads help to push that where she needed it.
I saw this and knew it would work perfectly for her. It lays flat to put stuff in it(she's usually transplanting flowers) and get where she needs to go. My mom is small, about 5'2, and this seems like its made for someone her size! She still has the large hefty wheel barrow for the 'big jobs', but now she's not trying to lug the smaller loads around in buckets or in the too big barrow.
Turned out to be an amazing gift!
great for many moderate jobs... August 27, 2009 Belladonna (Great Lakes) We've had this little wheelbarrow for 5 years now. It is especially good for carrying things to a boat if you dock at marinas. It will carry rocks, and wood. We use it for carrying bird seed bags from the car as well.
The tire did go flat after 3 yrs but was easy to reinflate. The canvas has held up to some
nasty wet weather and carrying heavy loads.
When we go to town for supplies we fold it up and put it in the back of the car. That way if no one is available to help you carry stuff out, you can do it yourself.
Anyone with gardens, a boat, or who is developing physical limitations will find it extremely useful.
When ours arrived, some screw attachments were missing. We called Allsop up and they mailed the parts out
immediately. Other than that it has been perfect for us.
Missing essential pinsUPDATE Five Stars June 29, 2009 E. SMOLINSKI (Chicago, Illinois United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I can see how this wheelbarrow would be great for hauling around small jobs around the yard, IF I could get the essential detent pins to finish putting it together. The instructions list four detent pins to keep the handles in place; the box only had one. I faxed a letter and a copy of my order to Allsop, and I am still waiting for a reply or for my detent pins to arrive. Until then, only one lonely star for Allsop. ******************************
****After a few phone calls to different numbers, I finally reached their Idaho warehouse and the woman who answered took my name and address and said she would put the missing items in the mail right away. I received them a couple days later and the wheelbarrow is now a good functioning tool! It's all good and upgraded to five stars.
Very useful, but a few design and materials problems April 27, 2009 bjrubble (Seattle, WA United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I don't have a lot of space, so from that perspective this is a fantastic product -- it can fit into a very small space, and the materials are so light that it can be easily hung on any convenient hook or rack.
So far it seems plenty capable as well. It handles rock and sod easily; I've probably hauled 100 pound loads, which is less than its stated capacity, but still seems pretty impressive for a canvas wheelbarrow. The lie-flat feature is really handy when hauling heavy things, since you don't have to lift them into the bed.
I have two major complaints, one with the design and one with the materials.
Design Issue: the metal rods that form the sides and handles are attached to the wheel assembly with pins. There are four slots and four pins, but only two are supposed to be engaged at any one time depending on whether it's in use or in storage. I'm sure that description makes no sense, and that's because neither does the procedure. Everyone I've lent the wheelbarrow to has arranged the pins incorrectly, in a configuration that the instructions warn in all caps CAN DAMAGE THE UNIT.
Related Materials Issue: the wheel assembly -- which gets a lot of use since pins are inserted and removed every time the wheelbarrow is used -- is plastic. The assembly includes brackets that hold the pins when they aren't in use -- one of these has already broken after just one weekend of use. I have little doubt that this will be the first piece to fail, and that it will fail long before any other part of the unit does. If they'd spent an extra five dollars to make this piece out of metal, the whole unit would be about three times as durable. Very shortsighted design.
