| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com We can't think of anything we'd want to add to this little hummer. It's incredible what B&D has engineered into this system (we don't think it's fair to call it a "screwdriver"). Dual speed range lets you drill holes at high speed and drive screws at the slower speed. A 23-position clutch, just like what's on the big boys, will keep you from stripping your screws. But get this: Unlike conventional cordless screwdrivers and regular power drills, this tool's handle easily locks in three positions for tight areas and awkward spots. Genius! And just like the "real" drills, this one's got an accessible forward/reverse rocker switch for backing screws out, too. Here's something, though, that the big-boy drill makers should pick up: It's got on integrated light so you can always see your work surface clearly. For the money, we haven't seen anything like it. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste
Amazon.com Product Description Black & Decker's 6 Volt PivotPlus Rechargeable Drill and Screwdriver is a powerful, compact powertool that provides a choice between high-speed drilling power with 40 in./lbs. of torque as well as a lower speed setting for driving with 80 in./lbs. of torque. This handy, compact driver/drill features and ergonomically-shaped body for easy gripping, a handle that locks in three different positions for versatile operating conditions, an integrated LED light for superior visibility in dark areas, and a 23-position clutch that helps prevent stripping. The.6-volt battery offers a long operating life and the quick-release mechanism in the head makes changing bits fast, secure and easy.

Usealot November 11, 2009 James Great torque and I find myself using it every day. This kind of product is becoming unavailable as the battery packs are taking over.
This is a good gift idea for any handyman.
Pivot screwdriver November 1, 2009 B. Yates This is the second PD600 pivot screwdriver I have owned the first one just got worn out.I just hope this one lasts as long as the first one and can hold up to the everyday abuse I put the first one through.
Great screwdriver for light tasks October 24, 2009 VTS (Philadelphia, PA United States) I've used this screwdiver to put together Ikea-type furniture, pre-drill holes in heavy oak trim and then driving in screws for hanging curtain rods. Was impressed with the punch this little screwdriver packed.
pd600 Pivot Plus October 22, 2009 William A. Lamar (Keytesville, Mo. U,S.A.) Haven't had a chance to use it much, but what little I have used it it seams like a fine product. I would recomend it.
It's OK October 6, 2009 Thomas Scott (SW Virginia) This tool does what it says it will do. However, the slot for extra bits does not hold them in place well, and they will drop out - especially the drill bit.
The instruction manual refers to a tape measure stored within the base of the handle. The handle shows where the push-button for access would be if there was one. There is none in mine, and a review of the accompanying web page does not show or suggest that there might be one.
This is truth is advertising I guess, but I'd like to have the tape also.
