5 out of 5 stars Just What the Doctor ordered   November 16, 2009
George (Butte, MT United States)
Product was just as advertized. No frills just does the job. Short learning curve, just set depth and get feel for the way it works. No more holes in the sheetrock. This product beats using special bits with cordless drill-drivers and after a day of use I noticed less hand strain from its use. Do yourself a favor and opt for the regular or faster shipping. The free shipping is slow and unpredictable.

5 out of 5 stars A Must Have in The Tool Bag   November 11, 2009

Drills are for drilling, this is for screwing. Forget trying to use a drill for screwing other than for quick jobs. It is impossible to do a decent job driving a screw when you have to vary the speed, which changes the way a screw goes in. With this tool, you drive the screw the way it was designed, at full speed, but you can't ever overdrive it. If you have to drive a lot of screws, you will start to hurt your wrist because of the small start and stops to prevent the overdrive. Once you take this tool, practice first with about five screws and scrap wood, you will always use this tool going forward. Decks are a breeze, any carpentry work just gets better. The only thing better is an auto-feed driver, but it's a lot more expensive, and the screws are more expensive. Once I got the hang of it, I just locked it on and drove screw after screw perfectly. Even if it's on, it doesn't turn until it engages, and once it reaches the depth you set, it automatically disengages with no stress on the wrist. In order to really understand this tool, learn how to use it when it's locked on...that is when you'll fully understand the quantum design leap here. This takes screw driving to a totally different level.

4 out of 5 stars Huge Time Saver!   October 22, 2009
Georgia A. Weaver (Alta, IA United States)
This was the most recommended drywall driver on the market, I was a little nervous because we usually buy DeWalt Exclusively. This is lighter in weight than the drills we use and is very easy to control. I highly recommend it. It does take a bit of adjusting to get it set to put the screw head in the drywall at the correct dept but I'm sure they probably all do. As a woman, I really appreciate the ease of use and lighter weight without a reduction in power.

4 out of 5 stars Good Tool.....Great Warranty   August 2, 2009

I've spent all of my working life in industrial environments and most of the old timers who taught me my skills had a preference for Milwaukee power tools and I still have a nostalgic loyalty to Milwaukee despite the fact that most all of them are made overseas now. To be honest, I've seen this exact same driver on the shelves at several home centers selling from $80 to $110 marketed under various brands, the only difference being the color of the plastic case. Amazon had the best price that I found anywhere at under $60. Milwaukee tools have a full five year warranty, which is plenty of comfort zone for me, and of the twelve that I own I've never needed repairs on any of them.
This driver has plenty of power. I've used it to drive several hundred 3" screws into wall studs on my storage shed project and the driver performed without complaint. Set the depth and you're good to go. I don't think this tool can be beat for the price I paid.
