Love it I use it allot and has yet to fail me November 20, 2009 Brian Htton (Dayton OH) My dad had one and I loved it and have not ben dissipointed with the one I bought one because I loved it so much.
My Second One November 11, 2009 Tommy Wells (Houston, Texas USA) This is my second DW920K2. The old one still works fine, but the batteries were old, and needed replacement. For only a few dollars more I bought a new one. My old one built fences, screwed stuff together in my shop, and was always there, and worked. I'm no professional, but know that this is one fine household screwdriver. I even bought one for my Son in Law.
The price is right, too.
excellent product October 10, 2009 Kerry Pierce (Detroit, MI USA) I've had 4 power screwdrivers in the past. Only 1 of them had enough power to do any real work with. Most of them simply weren't good for more than a few screws requiring light torque before the battery gave out. The single exception was the milwaukee driver drill, which had plenty of power, but it is heavy and bulky.
I bought the Dewalt 920k from Amazon a couple of weeks ago and have used it several times now, for a variety of jobs, light to heavy application. It is simply a joy to use, having plenty of power to drive 1 1/2" long screws into 2x4's without waxing the screws first. That's a joy and really cuts down on the time spent on a job. The first battery finally wore out yesterday, after driving many dozens of screws.
The clutch works very well and you need to use it. The screwdriver has plenty of power and will easily strip small screws being driven into wood. Use the clutch for such applications and never worry about over-tightening or stripping screws again.
I only have a minor complaint so far. Many (most?) of their bit holders aren't magnetic. That can be a problem, especially outdoors, where it's real easy to drop screws or bits and lose them, plus the non-magnetic holders usually require 2 handed operation to start the screws. The magnetic holders virtually eliminate that problem. I installed a bunch of shelves which required that I hold the shelf bracket and try to drive the screw. Normally, I'd drill pilot holes and then try to fuss with holding the bracket and the screw at the same time. That's not needed with a magnetic holder. I put the screw on the bit and the magnetic holder held it just fine. No pilot holes were necessary, just hold the bracket and drive the screws one handed. That was a real time saver. There are several magnetic holders available from Dewalt and other makers. Do yourself a favor and get at least one magnetic holder.
love this tool September 30, 2009 James Counterman this is a great addition to my collection of tools. I love the fact of how versital this is. I purchased som socket adaptors to use with this. the screwdriver is strong enough to torque down bolst as well. I am using it to install satellite dishes and it is perfect!
Works like a charm August 13, 2009 Aleksandr Belyarchik (Los Angeles, CA) It's been 2 years, and it still works like a charm. Good enough battery life, very powerful for a 7.2V.
