 wish i had gotten more August 31, 2008
I bought one of these when they went way down on Today's Deals and wished I would have gotten a few more. They are not to secure real valuable things but I can see using it on a shed door, bike lock(I'm in a low crime area), or anywhere where a little deterrent might be enough to stop thieves. The little tumblers work easily and it's easier for my aging mind to remember just 3 numbers.

Just for extra security and peace of mind this lock is great. I use it at school when I go on a short break and leave my backpack on the table. Also good for travel, and possibly for the gym.

No James, much of it is not your fault. ALL of it is your fault. The item description specifically says, "Perfect size for backpack, luggage, and briefcase protection."

I made the mistake of buying this thinking it would be a nice change from a traditional dial combo round lock that I was using at the gym. Unfortunately, of 3 different gyms that I have been with in 3 different cities, this backpack padlock will not open far enough to allow you to hook it through the traditional locker holes which are too thick. I should point out that the product did not specifically specify ability to use with lockers, so much of this is my own fault.
