This new development from JDS carries with it all the great features of the model it replaces, and adds a new remote control system. The JDS 750ER is a high efficiency three stage air filtration system that removes the dangerous to breathe talc-fine dust particles that regular dust collectors cannot get. With an included electrostatic (washable) prefilter, use is easier than ever. The 750ER is powered by a heavy-duty motor that pulls 750 cubic feet of air through the filter each minute. From a whisper quiet 200 CFM to its full 750 CFM, the performance is great, with effective removal of 99 of 5 micron dust, bacteria, fungi and pollen particles in your shop. It also grabs as much as 80 of particles down to 1 micron size (1 micron equals 1 millionth of a meter). The system completely filters the air in a 30 x 30 x 8 shop once every 10 minutes. The longer the Air-Tech runs, the cleaner your shop air becomes. A unique slide-in/slide-out filter system, combined with well-placed access doors, lets you change filters quickly and easily, without any tools. While designed for ceiling installation, the Air-Tech 750ER can also be placed on tabletops or shelves. The 750ER measures 12" x 24" x 34" and weighs 62 pounds. It draws 300 watts. The new remote control offers three speeds, low, medium and high, and has four time settings so the 750ER shuts off automatically at one hour, two hours, three hours or four hours.

 The Sound of Clean Air. January 10, 2010

I have a need to make lots of childcare furniture for the family business. The dust was unbearable when sanding large numbers of pieces.
Enter Amazon reviews. I researched the subject and came up with the JDS Air Filration System as the machine of choice.
There is a happy air rushing sound, some call it noisy, that blends in with all the other shop sounds as you go to work. It is the sound of fresh, breathable air.
I suppose the sound of rushing water is noisy too, unless you like to fish.
No matter how much dust I make the JDS eats it up fast. I run it on low for saws, planers, and even one sander. I run medium for two sanders and to prep the shop before appling clear finish. Air blast all surfaces, set the timer for two hours and the dust is gone when you come back.
How foolish I have been to work in so much dust. It got to where I had to go ouside for "air breaks"
Man Up and get you one, choking is for fools.
The JDS does the job and a big plus, it is built in the U S A.
 Great unit - arrived with shipping damage January 5, 2010

The product arrived in a box that appeared undamaged. However, when I opened the package, the case was damaged. Even worse, when I followed the instructions for removing the styrofoam packing material around the blower, I was shocked to find a) the ground wire broken, b) the motor mounts bent and c) the motor mounts installed incorrectly. I spent the next 3 hours taking the entire unit apart and repairing the damage. Fortunately, I was able to bend the motor mounts back into shape and repair the damaged wiring.
Once installed, the unit worked great. I have a Dylos air quality monitor and the JDS unit performed admirably, achieving a marked reduction in both small particles (< 2 microns) and large particles (5+ microns) within a few minutes.
In summary, I think this is a great product. However, the shipping/packaging is poor, the unit arrived damaged and required 3 hours to repair.
If you're up for taking the entire unit apart and repairing it upon arrival, its a great product.

My construction company owns several of these units. The motherboard on one has fried and we have been unable to secure a replacement. We have sent multiple emails to the company with no response. Oh and the unit is less then 2 years old with not a lot of use.

I have a basement wood shop, so removal of dust is important for health and house cleanliness (wife's orders). I have a complete wood chip removal system by Oneida, which is great, that is hooked up to all my tools. There is still dust, from hand tools, etc. This JDS was easy to install and when first turned on, it really moves the air. My wife even commented that the air was "crystal" clear. This is a must have for woodworkers

I've had my unit about 2 years now purchased from Amazon. I would not ever consider having a shop without one again. I work a lot with exotic and figured walnut as many of you know this is a VERY allergy reactive wood. I or my guests can be miserable from the dust from sawing or sanding making us ill. Turn on my JDS in my 24 x 36 shop and within 3 minutes no one has so much as a sniffle.
In my opinion JDS is the finest product in this category. Hands down. Mine arrived in fine condition shipping down from PA to SC and since JDS is in SC it went the other way at least once, box was dirty and abused airfilter was fine. I am actually looking at putting a second one in my shop to replace the ceiling fans for airflow, the filter kills 2 birds with one stone.
And no I do not work for JDS or know anyone who does.
