Very light. November 5, 2009 R. Mckay (thousand oaks, ca) Two shinais for the price of one. These are very light, but they seem to be just as durable as my heavier ones. My 12 year old son prefers them over my heavier more expensive models. The finish is less shiny and I wonder whether they would suffer if they got wet.
Workout Weapons September 14, 2009 J. L. Lucero (Colorado, USA) Nice and sturdy and great for a good workout if you're into the traditional forms. They kinda hurt to get with but, that's what the pads are for. Excellent!
Cool swords September 3, 2009 April Ebey 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these for my teenager who loves them, mainly because he can goof off with them. They seem to be well made.
Not bad at all June 17, 2009 Jimmy Howell Not bad. Took 8 days for delivery. Started fighting with them as soon as I took them out of the package. I already fought about 10 times already, and have not took them lightly . Has not even cracked, even when fighting with different materials. I say it is a great Shinai for beginners. Will order more when these breaks.
Picture is misleading May 23, 2009 Eric Heitmuller (Phoenix, AZ USA) The picture is misleading, they do not have a guard, so there is nothing to protect your hand. Overall they are cheaper quality, and will break with use, but are cheap enough in price so that is to be expected. I will not be ordering these as replacements after my initial shipment is done.
