These shoes are great, especially for martial arts. I specifically bought them to use in Capoeira and they are wonderful. They are lightweight, flexible, and give you a good balance on your feet. Highly recommended if anyone is looking for great shoes at an even greater price for training.

these shoes are wonderful for kung fu. i wear size 8.5 womens and the size 40 fit me just fine. i think i'll start wearing these casually as well.

For years I looked at these shoes and thought they were tacky. Then I reaqd an article about how they were worn at the olympic demonstrations and were now to be produced and sold for $65 in NYC. I immediately thought, "gee, I should try them while they are still cheap." I bought a pair for myself, my gf, her son and my son. I practice and teach taijiquan, I love these shoes for any outdoor practice that I do. They are so tacky looking that they are sort of cool, they wear well, and feel great to use. I even wear them casually now. For the price, they are the best shoe that a martial artist can buy. Who doesn't love a good shoe for $15. I am now collecting them in multiple colors.

I ordered these shoes to use for parkour training because of the grip. When my shoes arrived they had an incredibly potent and disgusting chemical smell. It gets on my socks and my hands. I could barely stand to be around them long enough to lace them up. They are sitting outside on my porch right now because they contaminate any room that they are in. None of the other reviews have mentioned this, so it could be a one time defect. I really hope the smell goes away, because they seem like excellent shoes otherwise and they cost very little.
