These free-standing ballet bars are available in the standard lengths of 5' or 8' with hand sanded Poplar Rails. Two hand wheels make height adjustment of the bar easy for all ages. Comes with legs that rotate which allows the bar to fold flat for easy storage against a wall.

This is an excellent product from a company whose products are considered by some to be the standard against which others are measured.
The metal base is heavy enough to keep the prouct stable and the workmanship is of high quality. The poplar rail itself is attractive and sturdy. Assembly took less than 10 minutes and the finished product is both solid and attractive. The ability to raise and lower the bar easily is a very desirable feature; here again, the hand knobs/screws used to secure the risers are of top quality.
My wife, a former professional ballet dancer, is delighted. Altogether, this is an excellent piece of equipment if you can afford it.
My only quibble, and this is a minor one, is that the company did not return an inquiry I made when the metal base arrived without the rail.
