the tank topper works great, still allows ventilation, but the use of aquarium for better watching of your pets. only one thing if they are a chewer, will chew ramp.

This is exactly what I was looking for! It doubled the area for my rat to play in, fits perfectly on the 10 gallon tank, and she LOVES it!

I bought this for my rats, and it works very well! I was concerned about the ramps not being of very high quality, but I'm satisified with it. My rats don't chew, however, so if you have a gerbil or something that chews, I wouldn't advise this product. Other than that, it's easy to assemble and really adds to your cage!

My rats love this cage topper!! My female tends to chew everything, yet she has not chewed the plastic ramps or shelves and she loves the house. We had to add a different water bottle that hangs from the side because the one included was too low to the ground. But my rats love to look through the hole in the roof of the house where the water bottle is supposed to go. Since my rats won't run on a wheel, they were getting fat. The ramps provide good exercise. I would recommend this to rodent owners, except those who keep mice. The bar spacing is too wide for mice, and maybe even for dwarf hamsters.
Cleaning is as easy as spraying it off in the sink with a hose, or putting it in the dishwasher (but don't dry it in the dishwasher!).

it is pretty good and eaisy for them to climb but they do tend to chew it so you need to give them somthing to chew on.
