| Customer Reviews: If you have an HP 2605, you need this. December 30, 2008 S. Geist (San Francisco, CA United States) Plug it in, fire up the printer and it works. I'm now able to print photos bigger than 3x5 inches without crashing the printer, and time from clicking "Print" to printing is faster.
Nothing's going to improve the inherent speed of the print engine - that's a limitation of the built-in processor and the mechanical parts. Sadly, the 2605 engine is a slow one, but that's to be expected when buying a $300 color laser.
Worked wonderfully! Definitely see a difference on large files. January 31, 2008 Jennifer (Troy, MI) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I also bought this for the HP 2550L. It was extremely easy to install and I DID see a speed improvement - in relation to large graphics-intensive documents. Before the memory upgrade, the printer would choke about one-third of the way through a 12-page document (calendar pages with up to 16 photos per page), necessitating me to print one page at a time, and wait interminably for each page to render and finally print. After the memory upgrade, I sent all 12 pages at once with no hiccups and it was done printing before I even knew it. For single-page jobs or your basic text documents, I have not noticed any difference, but that is not why I upgraded the memory!
Ram OK, but did very little for the printing speed, so disappointed December 28, 2006 Maiaibing (Frederiksberg C. Denmark) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Have the HP 2550L (uses the same RAM module). Saw very little improvement in printing speed after the upgrade (and its a notoriously slow printer already, so very disappointing).
The price is right with the Kingston Ram - the original HP memory is so overpriced it hard to believe they can sell it.
