I would be very wary of the positive reviews on this product. I find it hard to believe that such a piece of garbage could be thought of so highly. First off, you must hold the top down to get the item being laminated through the machine. This would be a minor inconvenience if this was the only problem. The really bad news is that the laminate bubbles horribly, and it is hazy rather than clear. How anyone would use this for photos is beyond me. Next, the magnetic backing doesn't stick at all to whatever your laminating. It just falls right off. There is absolutely nothing worthwhile about this piece of junk. I bought this based on the reviews of the others here. Shame on them for misleading people in this way. If you want to use this as an arts and crafts type of toy for pre-kindergarteners, maybe. For serious use, never. Spend the extra money and get a quality heat laminating machine.

My kids love crafts and this little Backster has been a wonderful addition to our craft project collection. In the past, their paper projects have been thrown out after awhile because the edges get frayed or the entire item gets torn. Not anymore! They simply laminate their finished project and we can keep it forever! The machine is also a great size - very small -so storage is not a problem either. If you have kids who enjoy crafts or photography, you need the Backster!

I bought this little multi-finisher to apply adhesive to photos and other items for my scrapbooks. I have since come up with all different uses. There are 5 different cartridges and I use them all. I've made magnets out of photos, special stickers for my children's school projects and I've laminated all my recipe cards. This little machine uses no heat, no electricity and no batteries. It is so easy! The cartridges snap in without difficulty. I love this machine. I've purchased a few of them as gifts for friends.
