5 out of 5 stars One of my most prized CDs !   August 24, 2008
This live album captures Kansas at their peak. I have listened to this LP more than any other live album I have ever owned. (Of course, I'm a big Kansas fan). This new edition has quite a few previously unreleased songs during this same tour, so I was most anxious to get my hands on it. I wasn't disappointed.

4 out of 5 stars Finally - Closet Chronicles   August 4, 2008
This two-CD set includes a great collection of other live songs from Kansas during the same era that "Two For The Show" was released. "Bringing It Back" and "Down the Road" are particularly good. Almost makes up for the criminal decision to drop "Closet Chronicles" from the original TFTS CD for space reasons rather than issue two CDs. A 'must have' CD for old Kansas fans!

5 out of 5 stars Mis-matched reviews   July 25, 2008

Ok, I won't re-hash the most recent - and accurate - reviews that the new 2008 re-issue is excellent. It's worth the price of admission for the new included tracks alone.

But when I was scanning the reviews I began to wonder 'what is this person thinking?' And then I see the dates. The older reviews of the first issue - the one WITHOUT Closet Chronicles and the new tracks - do NOT belong in this review section.

And for those of you reviewing the reviews, check the dates. STOP reading when you see that the date precedes July 1, 2008 because that review does NOT even apply to this new re-issue.

5 out of 5 stars Brillinat re-issue!   July 25, 2008
This album is now TWICE as good, with the addition of the bonus tracks and the missing "Closet Chronicles". A great place to start for anyone to get into Kansas' music. A long time coming, but worth the wait. They are still out there doing it, too, and Steve Walsh still sounds great. Check them out when they come to your area.

5 out of 5 stars Great Package! 5 Stars   July 24, 2008
This is the definitive live album package that all bands should adhere to going forward. I am not going to review the music as I already have done that at WWW.progarchives.com under the name Garion81 if you wish to read my thoughts.

The sound on this especially disk 2 where Jeff Glixman was able to create a stereo mix is magnificent. The first disk is like cleaning off a dirty silver dollar and although not stereo still a great mix. Any Kansas fan or fan of progressive rock should have this one in their collection. The music spans the first 5 Kansas studio releases. The only thing that could have made it more perfect is if they had The Pinnacle but that wasn't played on these tours.

There are only two tours represented here. There maybe one or two songs gleaned from the end of the Leftoverature tour the rest are from the 77-78 Point of Know Return Tour that featured two different setlists.
Get it you will love it.
