| Editorial Reviews:
Album Description Nobody would argue that BOB MARLEY is the greatest and best known figure in the history of reggae music, some might say popular music period. And few could argue that his eldest son, ZIGGY, has done more than many to keep the name and the music alive. Born in Trenchtown, Ziggy was surrounded by the sounds of the Jamaican music industry from an early age while accompanying his father to the studio. He soon joined with his siblings to form the MELODY MAKERS, an act that enjoyed two decades of world-wide success recording and touring. Ziggy's last album "Love Is My Religion" won a Grammy for best reggae album in 2006 giving him a total of 4 Grammys as an artist. Ziggy has also contributed to a number of film soundtracks most famously for "A Shark's Tale" where he also voiced the character of Bernie the Rastafarian Jellyfish. He founded U.R.G.E (Unlimited Resources Giving Enlightenment), a charity involved in a wide range of children's causes in Jamaica, Ethiopia and other developing countries. More recently he has lent his support widely to the Youth AIDS campaign. With his own broad knowledge of the music and its exponents, Ziggy has compiled a record that is a must have album and includes some of the biggest reggae names and songs of all time. Ziggy Marley in Jamaica is guaranteed to have you skanking in your back yard with a cold beer while the chicken chars on the BBQ.

THIS IS A CD THAT CONTAINS SOME OF REGGAE'S BEST SUPER STARS, GREATS SUCH AS JIMMY CLIFF, PETER TOSH, DENNIS BROWN, BLACK UHURU, THE WAILERS, GREGORY ISAACS AND TOOTS AND THE MAYTALS, WHILE IT ALSO REVEALS HOW ZIGGY HOLDS HIS OWN EVEN AMONG ALL THESE LEGENDS, ZIGGY STANDING OUT AS REGGAE'S REIGNING NUMBER ONE SUPERSTAR, AS WELL AS REGGAE'S BEST LIVING SONGWRITER, CONTINUING THE TRADITION OF HIS MESSIANIC FATHER, BOB MARLEY.
