first class lyrics wraped in a music August 14, 2008 I first heard Brooke when she was singing in Hillsong's live recording album (Saviour King). and I know that she wrote some of the songs there, and the lyrics just blown me away, I was looking for her cd, but few months ago, her cd was not sold in Amazon US store (in the meaning of you have to import it from New Zealand), so when they have it, I just bought it, and it is so amazing, this album is so great, it's a non-boring at all cd. you could listen to it over and over again and will never be bored. and yes, her lyrics is beautiful itself even just to read it without the music.
Absolutely Amazing July 16, 2008 I have to admit that mainstream music market today is no longer attractive to me, so I pay more attention to the other music market, Albertine is my latest discovery and possibly the best so far. All the songs are well organized and unique, especially Shadowfeet and Deciphering Me. Fraser's voice is amazing as well. Just like other reviews read, this is a true treasure. Buy this album, it will not let you down, I promise.
Smashing. July 4, 2008 I am so glad that I took a chance and invested moolah into this CD. It's amazing. Brooke's voice is like...velvety...hot chocolate-y...and completely captivating. Her lyrics are heartfelt and genuine--I love every song. Most are about her relationship with God, but there are also a few about romantic relationships. The song Albertine is beautiful--and was inspired by her experiences in Rwanda. All in all: Perfectly balanced, perfectly written & original--can't stop listening.
Simply beautiful July 3, 2008 I cannot recommend this album highly enough. Brooke Fraser has the total package as a musical artist: literate, poetic, melodic, soulful, , honest, and a voice like an angel. There is not a weak track on this album, and several songs are now among my all time favorite songs.
Brooke Fraser : an undiscovered gem March 30, 2008 In this currenent low quality stream of Christian music , we have been in latley . Brooke Fraser is a beyond welcome find . Not only does she have a world class beautiful voice [ She sounds similar to Tiffany Arbuckle -of Plumb ] She has her own musicians to back her up . None of this cheesey stock footage sound track stuff .Great music . Graat lyrics . If you like really quality CM . You owe it to yourself to go to her myspace site and hear for your self . This one is cool kids .It amazeses me . how the CM radio stations never pick up on the good stuff like this .But I guess if you want gold . You wont find it in the common places .
