Not bad October 12, 2007 The New Breed are members of the Tunnel Rats crew. Personally I've never been a huge fan of their recorded stuff, but they put up some pretty awesome live shows =]
This album was hit-and-miss, with a few tracks that are excellent, and a few that are awful. I think they over-do double voices, but I've never liked that style much myself. They mix in a little Latin flavor very effectively. For fans of the underground Christian rap movement, there is a good chance you will like what you hear.
DOPE!!!! April 23, 2004 I haven't been listening to Christian rap artists for a long time but this album.... is dope. nothing else to say. From the start to the end you have no choice but to nod you head. From strong beats like "Stand" to more slow but still dope beats like "breathless" you'll find it hard to stop vibing to these beats.
The Honest Truth. April 7, 2004 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I will not hype up this record. I won't tell you it's better than 50 Cent or Eminem, or any other mainstream artist. But I will tell you this; this records feels good. It is truly honest, and it does not pretend to be something that it's not. Simply put, it's a hip-hop record by two strangely gifted emcees. This reviewer could care less if people will be 'fooled' into believing it is a "secular" album, as if the secular label is some sort of platinum standard. This record is 100% true, and requires no comparisons. Let it stand on its own.
