Galactic September 20, 2007 If you follow the Louisiana FUNK music scene then you know about Galactic. They are currently without vocals and playing live for the most part, (2007). On this disc check out Century City first, it has one of the funkiest grooves in all of music. It is amazing what three chords, ( the funk bridge in this case ), can do in the hands of masterful musicians. Drummer is a solo artist, don't remember his name but can't forget his licks. Take your time. You will want to turn it up. Music for music lovers. They entertain...
D'funk; n' nothen but dat diddy. October 9, 2003 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is a compilation of greatest hits from over the last decade, which makes it a nice, if at times incoherent, sampler from one of today's coolest bands. Galactic offers something for everyone: a spice of soul, a touch of rock, and a pinch of acid jazz--only its mixed bourbon street style. So though it may not be for the Jazz-only crowd, it appeals to 'eclectic' funk-rockers. If you enjoy The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, then Galactic is quite a treat.

This cd's cool and all but its nothing but three songs I havn't heard. I reccomend getting it but I would definately get Late For The Future first. "Do Rag" on this cd is a bad ... song. The whole things good but I was hoping for some more new stuff.
