Album Description The legendary Moody Blues present this special musical collection, their first live album without an orchestra, since their historic 1969 release The Moody Blues Live + 5. Recorded live at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on June 11 during their 2005 World tour, in which they played New Zealand for the first time and returned to Australia, this rare live recording is pure Moody Blues. With the Moodies' unique brand of music that has kept them at the top of their profession for 40 years, and has maintained them as one of the biggest live touring acts of all-time, this is a truly sparkling performance from one of the world's greatest and best-loved rock bands.

The Moody Blues at Greek Theatre in CA. September 25, 2008
This is one Great Blu-ray Concert Video!!! I love The Moody Blues. So if you own a Blu-Ray player you should buy it today.
Moody Blues still rocking September 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The last time I saw the Moody Blues in concert was 1986. While they are older, they still can rock with the best of them. This Blu-Ray is one for every fan to own. In 1986 they still had Ray Thomas playing the flute, but he retired from the band and is now replaced by Norda Mullen who does an excellent job.
The song selection is great, "Lovely to See You", "Tuesday Afternoon","Lean on Me", "The Voice","I know you're out there somewhere", "Isn't Life Strange", "Ride my See Saw", "Question", "The Story In Your Eyes", "I'm Just A Singer", "Steppin' In A Slide Zone", "Talking Out Of Turn", "Higher and Higher", "The Actor", "Nights In White Satin" and a few other lesser known songs. There are twenty songs in all.
The sound is just great, and the Blu-Ray has PCM, Dolby 5.1 and DTS-HD 5.1 encodings on it. The video is 1080i wide-screen 1.78:1. The video of the band moves from member to member throughout the songs, with multiple angles throughout the whole presentation. The only disappointment is an overall lack of extras on the disk. The only thing there is a feature on the remaining three members.
THE MOODY BLUES: LOVELY TO SEE YOU- LIVE [BLU-RAY] August 4, 2008 The band shows they can still play, the picture and sound quality are very good. I highly recomend this dvd to anyone that has an HD music collection.
Moody Fans Delight July 28, 2008 From the sixties to now fans of all ages will appreciate the legacy of the Moodies in this live concert. Crank up the volume especially on " In your Wildest Dreams" and " I know your out there somewhere". Hopefully your sound system can de-code the DTS HD Master Audio. Its awesome-----.
Lovely To See You Again, My Friends July 23, 2008 My favorite incarnation of the Moodies is the original group with the two guitars, drums, mellotron and flute to help frame the beautiful lyrics and set the mood. After the group's hiatus, when Justin made his solo album, Ray Thomas left and a new keyboardist came on board which changed the whole vibe for me. I have enjoyed several of the songs the group has recorded since. I bought this DVD going on the reviews of other fans and I am so very glad that I did. It is a great showpiece for Blu-ray in both sight and sound. It surprised me to have two women on board for this concert and an additional drummer. The other drummer and the flautist could play more than one instrument as well as vocalize. The sound was really full with two keyboards, two different drum sets, flute, guitars and the enthusiasm and talent of the Moody Blues. These musicians love what they do, the fans who come to see and hear them and aren't about to stop anytime soon. The interview was really fun to see as all these many years I have known next to nothing of these talented people. Like I didn't know they have known each other since childhood. And that each feels they are "just a singer in a rock and roll band" and not some sort of guru. You can't tell me that there isn't a lot of the mystic about these boys though and they have real depth and sincerity. All in all this DVD of this concert is a sight for sore eyes and ears and made me so grateful for this technology.
