| Editorial Reviews:
Album Description Since shooting to stardom on the second season of American Idol, Clay Aiken, the Raleigh, NC, native with the powerhouse voice has become a international pop phenomenon who has sold six million albums. In addition, Aiken has launched eight live tours, made the New York Times best-seller list, and won several American Music and Billboard Music Awards. In January 2008, Aiken made his Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning musical Monty Python's Spamalot. When Clay began the search for songs to record for Aiken's first album of original material since his 2003 chart-topping debut Measure of A Man, he fell in love with a song written by OneRepublic front man Ryan "Alias" Tedder called "On My Way Here." The message of the lyrics -- how the lessons we learn while growing up shape us into who we become as adults -- struck such a deep chord with Aiken that it wound up inspiring the theme (and title) of his new collection. To musically represent the album's lyrical theme, Aiken and Foster enlisted Grammy-Award winning British songwriter and producer Kipper, who has worked with Sting, Chris Botti, and Julia Fordham.

Wonderful Heartfelt Music July 3, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have enjoyed Clay Akin's voice and style on his prevous albums, but they were not at the top of my "playlist." But this is a very different album in a number of ways. He has the same great voice, but this album is filled wit songs that have real meaning. In every song you can hear that he is saying something from the heart, and it seems to be very personal. This is the mark of an excellent artist -- he makes the listener feel what he is singng. If you like his style with the ballads and great vocals then I would wholeheartedly recommend this album.
One of my favorite CDs of the year. July 2, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'm loving this album. There are range of genres, from light jazz, to ballads, to pure pop. Great melodies, meaningful lyrics, beautifully crafted production -- and sung by one of the best male pop vocalists recording today. (Amazes me what he can do with his voice.) If you're not a fan, put aside any preconceived notions and give it a listen. You don't have to be a Clay Aiken fan to enjoy this; it's a good, solid, eclectic, and totally enjoyable CD.
A More Mature Clay Aiken June 29, 2008 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
Clay Aiken's new CD ON MY WAY HERE reveals a more mature and polished sound. He always had a great voice but it is even better now. I would have liked some more up-beat selections, however, the songs are all good. The music presents a reflective mode which is thought provoking. Enjoy!
