Revival of pure Irish ballads. June 17, 2008
These Irish men have grown up with outstanding ballads and now under the direction of the multi-talented David Downes have put together a seamless presentation that will make you tap and clap along with their audience.
Do yourself a favor - get the DVD of this show also and watch the pure Irish traditions unfold before your eyes.

The high kings really sound great and this CD is a must (if your into this kind of music). I realize that not everyone is into Irish / Celtic kind of music, but if you are I think that you will love this group. I saw them live in concert were they only performed about 4 songs. I knew then that I wanted their CD and I'm happy that I got it.

My love for celtic music has been nurtured by time spent in the Canadian Maritimes on vacations but I have purchased several CDs over the past few years only to be disappointed.
Not so with this CD though. I have thoroughly enjoyed it & highly recommend it to my friends.

but there are so many others with similar/better talents. I really enjoyed their voices - a real delight, but would I have been happier spending the same amount for a CD of Celtic Woman? hard to say. they're good, really, and I enjoy the music, but of my collection of celtic music, this won't be played as often as others. Okay, I'm damning with faint praise. The CD is good... I do enjoy it, but it may be a year or more before I play it again. Yet, I plan to keep it. :)
