| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Switchfoot is an alternative rock band from San Diego, CA. They are known for their energetic live shows, the three guitarists in the line-up often operate simultaneously, building on the pop sensibilities of Foreman's songwriting, rounded out by Fontamillas's work on the synthesizer, bringing his industrial roots to the sound, the band works up 'the Switchfoot sound'- a melodic crunch of densely layered sound featuring some electronic experimentation, and often driven by hard-charging guitar riffs, while throwing in a few softer ballads as well.
Album Description 2009 release from the Alt-Rock band, their seventh album overall. Hello Hurricane was recorded by the band and produced by renowned Hip Hop bassist and producer Mike Elizondo, known for his work with the likes of Dr. Dre, Eminem, 50 Cent, Pink, Maroon 5 and Fiona Apple. The album's driving and urgent first single, 'Mess of Me', powerfully demonstrates the edge behind the new tones. Not content to settle into a single groove, the band moves from the high flying album opener, 'Needle and Haystack Life,' to songs like the stirring 'Always' and the sweetly soaring 'Your Love Is A Song'.

Wow... Who Thought They'd Surpass The Beautiful Letdown? February 28, 2010 Brad Miser (Brownsburg, IN USA) This is an amazing album. I thought the band might have peaked with The Beautiful Letdown, but as great as that album is, this one is just as good or maybe even better. The lyrics are even more meaningful, and the music is great. I especially like the The Sound and Mess of Me. If you are a Switchfoot fan, get this album. If you aren't already a fan, give this one a try.
HELLO HURRICANE! HELLO SWITCHFOOT! February 25, 2010 KHeass (Boston, MA USA) I have only listened to a few of Switchfoot's songs, up until I bought this album. Their new sound is amazing. It is full of life, soul, and passion. I can listen to the album over and over and still love it.
Worth the money February 24, 2010 K. Martin (WA) I listened to this album already a Switchfoot fan, but "Hello Hurricane" exceeded my expectations. Though I do not like every song, the bulk of the album provides solid melodies and very insightful lyrics. I think this album contains several of my favorite Switchfoot tunes ever. Give this album at least three listens- the more I hear it the more I like it!
Awesome Album!! February 20, 2010 Student Reviewers (North Hollywood, CA) I just saw Switchfoot in concert and had to get their new album! I love this album. It rocks!
Switchfoot at their finest February 3, 2010 Erin B. As a big fan of Switchfoot, I had a lot of expectations when Hello Hurricane was released. Almost 3 months later, I can safely say that the album does not disappoint. In fact, Switchfoot proves that they are masters of all sorts of styles, from heart-wrenching ballads like Yet and Always to crowd-pumping tunes like Bullet Soul and Mess of me, to everything in between. Again, almost 3 months after its release (with a lot of heavy listening), this record just hasn't gotten old. In fact, songs that I wasn't crazy about at first like Enough to Let Me Go have really grown on me. Other songs just keep seeming better and better, like the epic, driving Free. I still can't choose a favorite track on this album- each one is top-quality.
Even if you're not a Switchfoot fan, or you stopped listening to them after The Beautiful Letdown, or you're just curious and looking for new music- this album is a must-have for your music collection. It's a whole new sound for an already amazing band, and it will not disappoint.
