Product Description I Told You I Was Freaky is, among a great many other things, a genre-tripping tour de force and includes songs from the second series of their popular and award-winning/nominated HBO TV show.
Album Description 2009 sophomore full length album from the New Zealand Pop/Parody duo (Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement), who are best known for their popular HBO series. Flight Of The Conchords were named Best Alternative Comedy Act at the 2005 US Comedy Arts Festival and Best Newcomer at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, and they received a nomination for the Perrier Comedy Award at the 2003 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. This release features a lyric book with not only the lyrics, but the chords to each song as well.

More of the best March 16, 2010 R. Galloway (Los Angeles, CA) If you like the Conchords, you'll get it. If you don't like the Conchords, you need to. Either way, Freaky measures up to the best the Kooky Kiwis have to offer.
Good But Inconsistent February 27, 2010 Tom (USA) The second season of Flight of the Conchords was ever so slightly less brilliant than the first, and the corresponding album acts accordingly: not quite as good as the first, but not far behind. The duo's incredible musicianship is not as apparent this time around, and is especially lacking on "We're Both In Love With A Sexy Lady" and the album's title track, both of which completely abandon any concept of melody before they even start. But "Carol Brown" is the most promising Conchords track since last year's "Inner City Pressure," and even the less accessible tracks here have no shortage of the genius rhymes and humor that propelled the Conchords to stardom in the first place.
Standout tracks: Carol Brown, Too Many Dicks (On The Dance Floor), Petrov Yelyena And Me
Seems to be a song short ... February 15, 2010 George M. Shiffler III (San Jose, California USA) Riddle me this ... why does the version I purchased on Amazon not have "Pencils in the Wind" when others available elsewhere do? Still a fun album but would have been better with the extra track.
Freaky Good; musically, lyrically, top 10 listening CD this decade February 12, 2010 J. Shannon (Rochester, New York USA) I don't want to sound like Mel but after this compilation was released, the amount of time I spend listening to it would lead most to think I'm freak 'ka'. Musically, this album simply jams. The care put into producing the sound, pitch, clarity, rhythm, and humor make this an awesome piece of listening art. There is a simplicity that makes this musically fun to listen to but also complex enough to make it tons of fun to play along to on keys or strings. People beat this up comparing it to the first album but if you compare either to any, and I mean any other CD you have bought in the past decade, you will need to search far and wide for more creativity and fun this CD delivers. The humor is dry and character driven so that it stimulates the best sarcastic and creative senses that made Seinfeld such a pleasure. If you are not listening carefully you'll simply miss some of the funniest material released in music. When Jemaine says "oh nooo what" in Were Both in Love with a Sexy Lady it makes me bust up. It actually pulls the listener into the song. This is Smothers Brothers meets Quincy Jones and the combo is great. If you're under 25 years old your probably saying who cares. But if you do care about entertainment that is creative and funny; check it out. It is no wonder they stopped after the 2nd season. This much creativity, time in the studio, quality of production, obscure humor, TV contracts, would burn any 2 people out. I have thousands of albums in my collection. This album and the first release are in my permanant rotation. They simply put a smile on my face and a beat in my day. The first album is a great place to start. I hope this one is not the end. Keep it up guys; GREAT JOB! Thanks for making it fun.
awesome January 27, 2010 Cristina E. Relyea (waycross, ga) i love this cd. i think the show is a little awkward funny but the cd is totally awesome. "too many dicks on the dance floor" is hilarious.
