Album Description After the huge success of her critically acclaimed album "Loose" which allowed her to be the number 1 artist in global sales in 2007, Nelly decides to do her musical dream of making her first full Spanish language album. She had done many successful collaborations with artists all over the world in all different genres, but the collaborations with the Latin artists left her with this huge desire of expressing herself in this language, and that is how this new album was born. "Mi Plan" (My plan) is Nelly's 4th studio album which reflects once again her artistry, diversity and the uniqueness of everything which she writes. The album, as all her albums, is written and co-produced by her in collaboration with top writers and producers, as well as young new talent she believes in. She doesn't feel this is a "Latin Album", she says that this is just her soul speaking in Spanish, as all her albums "just music for the world". Music is a universal language and in this album she has brought the world together, working with musicians, writers and producers from all over the globe. The album is filled with fresh, enthusiastic, fun, freeing, unique, strong and passionate songs that reflect the great moment that Nelly is currently experiencing. The first single of this album, "Manos al Aire" (Hands in the air or I surrender), is a mid-tempo song that brings you in faster than you can understand to what she is trying to tell her loved one. The tip of an iceberg that will outlive the barrier of language, culture and time!
Album Description 2009 release, the fourth album from the Pop superstar and her first sung in Spanish. Furtado wrote the record in part with fellow Canadian Alex Cuba and the album features guest appearances from Josh Groban, Concha Buika, Juan Luis Guerra, Alejandro Fernandez, Julieta Venegas and La Mala Rodriguez.

Love this album! November 13, 2009 N. Garcia (Sunny Cali.) Nelly has done it again! If you're a true fan, you follow your singers when they venture into something new. If you're not big on spanish songs, then this is not the album for you. If you're up for new things, then check it out! I love it!
Nelly's best! November 11, 2009 i. t. j. 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was a lukewarm Nelly Fan during her I'm Like a Bird and Folklore era, but when I bought Loose I was hooked. It was a fun album yet with some sad moments that really made you feel the words and the music. Overall an excellent pop album. This album is sooo good and coherent-the stories the songs tell are all interrelated, I love the guest stars and I really like this overall from track 1 to 12! If you're expecting Loose 2 in Spanish its not but what it is-is good! I'm glad she decided to do something different and not just give us a loose 2!
I love it! November 6, 2009 GM (Solon, Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been a fan of hers since "Loose" but after hearing this CD, I actually went out and bought all of her other CDs just to have. This CD really is beautiful. Highly recommended, so make it a part of your plan to buy it :)
Can't go wrong with Nelly November 3, 2009 Chris (Chicago, IL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I always knew that I was a Nelly Furtado fan, but this album really proves it. Each of her first three albums was really different, and I liked them all. When I heard her next album would be in Spanish, I was a little disappointed because I don't speak Spanish. Turns it that's not particularly relevant.
I pretty much like every song on this CD. My favorites are "Vacacion," which is a fun, upbeat song, and "Como Lluvia," which is a mid-tempo song with a beautiful melody. "Manos al Aire" is also excellent, as are "Mi Plan" and "Suficiente Tiempo." Those are probably my top 5, though all the others are good, including "Silencio," and I don't really like Josh Groban at all.
The fact is, Nelly Furtado makes good music that lifts your spirits. She writes and sings from the heart, and that always comes through in her songs. I went to one of her concerts a few years ago, and the same can be said about her performances. I find it hard to believe that she could make music that I wouldn't like. I hope that continues to be the case.
If you like Nelly Furtado but are apprehensive about this album because it's in Spanish, don't worry. You'll still like this album. I'm convinced. Music is music.
Nelly Furtado Proves To Be A Bilingual Star November 2, 2009 Edgardo Luis Rivera (San Francisco, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For many years now I have been a Nelly Furtado fan. However, the only album before this one that I have purchase was Nelly's "Loose" album. After that album I really got hooked on her music, and after seeing her live in concert I thought she was so amazing. When I heard she was doing a Spanish album I had mixed feelings. I loved the song "Te Busque" from her last album, but wasn't sure she could pull off an entire Spanish album. Aside from my mixed feelings I went ahead and bought this album when it came out. I must say that I was quite impressed. This album is a string of hits, starting with "Manos Al Aire". However, my favorite song from the record would have to be "Bajo Otra Luz". The songs on this album are fun and vibrant. I listened to the entire record front and back, with no skipping of songs. I am very happy I can add this to my collection. I hope Nelly Furtado continues making both English and Spanish music, she has a great sound. If you are interested in buying this record, I totally recommend it. There are a lot of great guest performers on the record that add some extra charm. Hope this review helps.
