Product Description
Over 2 million records sold, three gold and one platinum single, a gold DVD release, countless sold out tour dates and numerous awards and nominations including the 2008 Grammy Nomination For 'Best New Artist' Award, you can say that Paramore has reached mainstream stardom. Arguably one of the most anticipated releases of 2009, 'brand new eyes' is by far the band's most personal album. Produced by Grammy Award-winner Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Kid Rock, My Chemical Romance) and co-produced by the band, the long-awaited follow-up to 2007's platinum certified second album, 'Riot!' The 11-track collection is unquestionably Paramore's best and brightest album to date, fit to burst with all the exuberant melodies, breathless hooks, and irrepressible energy that has made the Nashville-based band one of the most popular rock outfits in recent memory.

5 out of 5 stars Did it again   November 13, 2009

This Paramore album has a much different feel than their last album Riot. All of these songs have lyrics that appear to be much deeper than those songs on Riot. There is also a slight change in style, some people may not like this, but I like the fact that these songs seem more meaningful than those on Riot. Riot was a ton of fun to listen to and I loved it as an album, but I really like what Paramore is bringing to the table with Brand New Eyes.

5 out of 5 stars Paramore is truly my only exception <3   November 9, 2009

I adore Paramore. I downloaded the album when it was on sale for 3.99 full album MP3 download. I immediately loved "Ignorance" because I'd heard it already on MTV a few times. "All I Wanted" was the next song I fell in love with. Haley has an absolutely beautiful voice. At this point, I'm starting to love all the songs. Specifically, my two favorite songs from the album are "Turn It Off" and "The Only Exception" (I LOOOOOVE THAT SONG!).

This album does NOT disappoint!
BUY IT!

3 out of 5 stars Their Best Effort Yet   November 9, 2009

Fame has certainly taken its toll on Paramore. After the release of 2007's Riot!, Paramore's second studio album and first with major label Atlantic, Paramore was hit with a frenzy of media attention. Focus on lead singer Hayley Williams as the album climbed to number fifteen on the Billboard 200 chart sparked an internal conflict that nearly drove the Franklin, Tennessee group to bitter breakup. Things improved in 2008 when Riot! was certified platinum on July 11 and two new Paramore singles found their way to the Twilight soundtrack that November; an album that was certified double platinum this past April.

Now, two years after the release of Riot!, Paramore has put their conflict aside to release their best album to date. With the recurring themes of the album taking a look back at the bands tortured past, the title of Brand New Eyes may very well provide some insight into Paramore's new outlook on fame, fortune, and the renewed friendship amongst the members of the band.

Where Riot! played more as a collection of songs with a few standout singles, Brand New Eyes is a complete work with each song complimenting the next. While Paramore has clearly matured musically, part of their improved sound can no doubt be attributed to producer Rob Cavallo of Green Day's Dookie fame whose list of album credits now reads more like a who's who of 21st century punk rock. Brand New Eyes opens with the two most assailing tracks on the CD: "Careful" and the first single "Ignorance." Paramore's energy doesn't let up at all until halfway through the album where "The Only Exception" shows us a mellowed and more sophisticated side of Paramore.

Brand New Eyes will no doubt earn Paramore a host of new fans as they begin to stray away from the "emo" label that often turns many listeners off. For a band whose hit single has over sixty-eight million listens on their myspace page, that can only mean even bigger things for an already huge group.

1 out of 5 stars They can do better   November 8, 2009

They simply didn't try this time. Ignorance is the only good song. There are two acoustics that are awful. All the other songs sound the same and are just ok. I feel like paramore tried to create a good single and then blew off the rest of the album. The singing isn't even that good! In All We Know is Falling and Riot Hayley's voice is impressive. In their newest CD she sits at the same notes for 90% of the album. There are also a lot of cheesy parts that I laughed at. Ignorance is the only song with any effort, and that isn't as good as their past two records. Brand New Eyes is a huge step backward for the band and an even bigger disappointment.
