Amazing and fun science tool! November 18, 2009 Steven J. Valasek (Pittsburgh, PA) This is a fantastic collection of fun songs that actually teach kids some science! The music immediately gets stuck in your head the first time that you hear it, but on the second listen you begin to appreciate the magic that is this CD. Kids actually get to hear what makes science awesome.
My kids are addicted to these songs! November 17, 2009 Meriaten Long (Duvall, WA) My kids love these videos for They Might Be Giants songs, especially the ones about the sun! They want to dance to it. Being a TMBG fan myself, I heartily approve. :) This is an awesome buy! Instant Classic.
TMBG Rock Kids Too! November 12, 2009 Tobin Hampton (Durham, NC USA) Sadly, They Might be Giants is probably most famous for the likeable, if purile theme song to Malcom in the Middle ("You're not the Boss of Me Now...", and "Istanbul--not Constantinople". What you may not know is that they are prolific, hysterical and very, very talented musicians. With "Here Comes Science" they engage kids and adults alike with great tunes like "Meet the Elements" and lyrics like "Elephants are made of elements" or "The Sun is a miasma of incandescent plasma." "Roy G. Biv" teaches the light spectrum in hummable fashion. The DVD is great too. They won a Grammy last year for "Here Come the ABCs". This disc will likely garner another. If you like great music, buy this. If you're like so many other parents who would rather put a bullet through their head than listen to another verse of Hannah Montana, give your children a musical choice that will stimulate their grey cells rather than numbing them.
fun, fun, fun! November 12, 2009 Mother of Three (Macomb, IL) Keeping with true TMBG style, a CD of fun and quirky music with the added bonus of being educational! Loving every minute of it!
Videos on the DVD are fabulous and have actually peaked the interest of my own geeky not musically interested kid. Keep it coming TMBG!
Best of the "Here comes" series November 9, 2009 Michael Magill (Centreville, VA USA) I have Here comes science, Here come the 123s and Here come the ABCs. My kids like them all but this is definitely the best of the bunch. The songs are great and the videos are very good. Highly recommended!
