Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
Garrett's unique, and wholly individual style, pays as much homage to Metallica as to Mozart. His forthcoming record covers an incredibly diverse selection of repertoire, representing his love for many genres, and the ability to tackle each successfully. Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal," is cleverly reinterpreted, as is Queen's ballad, "Who Wants to Live Forever." AC/DC's "Thunderstruck" is given a memorable new twist, alongside, "He's a Pirate," from "Pirates of the Caribbean." Given his enduring commitment to his first musical love, David still includes some classical selections on his American debut, including the last movement of Vivaldi's "Summer" from The Four Seasons, and Bach's "Air". Not to be satisfied with only imaginative covers, David also displays his own deft writing skills with notable originals, including "Chelsea Girl."

5 out of 5 stars Fanstastic violin player and entertainer!!   November 22, 2009
C. Wilke (Los Angeles, CA)
David Garrett is a wonderful young, Julliard trained entertainer who is doing a terrific PR job of interesting people of all ages in classical music through his violin playing. He plays all kinds of music--rock, classical, popular in such a way that gets you excited in music no matter the genre.

5 out of 5 stars TOTALLY TALENTED   November 15, 2009
Sandra T. Casey (Baton Rouge, LA USA)
I was going to eat out on my birthday, courtesy of some other lady friends, when we found that two of us couldn't come. So I thought I would just watch public television. What a wonderful bit of serendipity to find that this talented young man played every kind of music and so well. Immediately ordered his DVD and loved it. I kept leaving the kitchen to see what piece he was playing, so now have them memorized in time to see him perform here in February!

5 out of 5 stars Teri's Review   November 14, 2009
T. Fresko (Istanbul, Turkey)
David Garett's style is unusually novice. You reaallly feel the violin's power - or should I have said the power of the violonist? All the songs in the album have a genuine interpretation - so unique and exciting. Really recommend it if you want to listen to something that is familiar yet exciting and somewhat new; classic and yet not so much so..
I knew all the songs in the album, and yet as I listened to the David's playing I was moved and so excited as if hearing them for the first time.
Not to mention the impeccible speed with which he is capable of performing - it almost took my breath away. Stunning..
Very well done..

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful music!   November 8, 2009
AvgMom2 (Long Island, NY)
I bought this DVD just before I went to David Garrett's concert with my family in NYC where he played the songs from this DVD and many others. David Garrett is, hands down, one of the most talented violinists in the world! He plays classical, as well as the modern music, with such ease. Seeing him in person, of course, is so much better than just listening to him, since you could actually see him interact with his band members (each one very, VERY, talented in their own right.) Great listening music in the car or in the house, this DVD soothes the soul. Highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars Name to remember forever - DAVID GARRETT   October 25, 2009
SharmaG (NY, NY USA)
Have you ever heard a violinist SING with their instrument? One who breaths and creates sentences, phrases and tells a story. You cannot help but be transformed by his talent. David Garret is one-of-a-kind. He is blessed with talent that hasn't been seen for years. He is blessed with a warm beauty that exudes from the inside out. Aside from his arresting looks and superb violin skills, his original compositions are cinematic and revolutionary. David is indeed a living legend, even though he was only born in 1981. This world is a better place with his music. Virtuoso, child prodigy and more, this Juilliard grad leaves you breathless and invigorated. If you need an extra energy boost for your workouts, he's the solution. When you're tired and need a little pep, David is the one. Having seen him first on PBS, we have joined the ranks of his growing admirers. There's not much left to say except, BUY THIS CD now and see him perform live anywhere you can. You don't have to love the violin -- you don't have to know classical music. This cool cat will take you on a journey and you will forever remember him.
