With over 170 million combined albums, singles, and videos sold worldwide during her career with Arista Records, Whitney Houston has established a benchmark for superstardom that will quite simply never be eclipsed in the modern era. She's also the only artist to chart seven consecutive #1 Billboard Hot 100 hits, hold seven consecutive multi-platinum albums. She reigns as the first female artist to have entered the Billboard 200 album chart at #1. Whitney's highly anticipated new studio album features a wide array of A-list producers including Stargate, R Kelly, Akon, Eric Hudson & Johnta Austin, Fernando Garabay & Harvey Mason Jr., Tricky Stewart, Swizz Beatz, David Foster and Diane Warren. 4 out of 5 stars Whitney Houston after 7 years   November 20, 2009

I love anything Whitney sings. I like this cd, but I thought it could have been better. There are some good songs on here. I bought this cd in support of Whitney because to me she is one of the greatest singers ever. I hope she keeps herself straight.

3 out of 5 stars Better than "Just Whitney" but....   November 18, 2009

Doesn't come close to her 1985 debut album or the 1987 "Whitney!" album, or even the "I'm Your Baby Tonight" album. I have always like Whitney Houston, who could forget that voice and those classic hit songs. "Saving All My Love For You" still remains one of my favorite songs of all time. When I heard the title cut "I Look To You", I was stunned that being out of the music spotlight for so long, that her voice would not be there. I was wrong, the song is great, but the voice isn't 100% there. Compare it to "I Will Always Love You" and you tell me the diffirence. I also enjoyed "I Didn't Know My Own Strength", great song.

The song "Million Dollar Bill", she should of thought about this song before recording it. Whitney is more of a ballad singer, but than dance music. Of course "How Will I Know" & "I Wanna Dance With Somebody", and even "My Name Is Not Susan" are classic Whitney songs but "Million Dollar Bill" does nothing for me. It didn't seem to do anything on the charts either, peaking at #100 on the Billboard Hot 100.

But Whitney, I will say that you do have that voice inside of you. Even though this album may not have been what you have done previously, but regardless you have made your mark. I highly doubt that anyone will ever forget "I Will Always Love You" or "I Wanna Dance With Somebody". I always here those songs if I ever go to a bar or club, more of a remix versions but it's still Whitney!

Now I also did read that she will be going on tour, I wouldn't mind seeing her again. I did see her on the "Bodyguard Tour" and she was very astounding. Let's make it a good tour Whitney! =)

2 out of 5 stars I only liked 2 songs...   November 15, 2009

so I gave it 2 stars. I like Whitney Houston - always have; but, this just doesn't come close to sounding like the Whitney of old. The songs are shorter and she really can't belt them out like she used to! We all get older, we all change, but except for "I Look to You" I would not have purchased this one. It's probably time for me to invest in an MP3 player - for albums such as this. I hope she can improve over time.

3 out of 5 stars I expected more!   November 14, 2009

Whitney got away from her style. She sounds like a 'Mariah Carey' wannabe in some of the songs. There is only one Mariah like there is only one Whitney. She is a great singer and should stay true to herself. I was very disappointed.

4 out of 5 stars Whitney's back!   November 12, 2009

I love track #1 (Million Dollar Bill). This tune has 'hit' all over it. Not crazy about title track. Very draggy and I kept waiting for something 'big' to happen. Never did. Good tracks on CD. Stay well. Stay strong and tear them up, vocally like you used to do and still 'can' do!
