| Editorial Reviews:
Album Description One of the most enduring acts in American music, Peter Paul And Mary both defined and transcended the 1960s folk revival. The trio's passionate commitment to peace and social justice made them the conscience of an era as they soulfully communicated political concerns through music in an unprecedented way. At the same time that they reached millions with their social message, they acheived phenomenal mass popularity.

THE VERY BEST OF PETER, PAUL AND MARY November 12, 2009 Consuelo T. Gabriel This collection of classic recordings of Peter, Paul & Mary was not only nostaligic but true to our present times. I loved it so much and so did my sister....I sent her one as a gift. I know that it will only increase in value since the death of Mary but that wasn't the reason I purchased it. ''Puff the Magic Dragon'' continues to steal my heart. I would strongly encourage everyone to consider this CD as a wonderful Christmas gift. I am 65 years old and yet this music is for people of all ages....melodic, hauntingly beautiful and reflective. Consuelo T. Gabriel
Great CD November 11, 2009 C. Bunnell (San Antonio, Texas) This CD is great and includes alot of Peter, Paul and Mary's best songs. I listen
to it often and remember when they were popular.
Peter, Paul & Mary -- The 1960's live again. October 24, 2009 Harry M. Murphy (Albuquerque, NM) I bought this CD when I learned of the death of Mary Travers, the "Mary" of the Peter, Paul and Mary trio. Some forty years have passed since they appeared on the stage, and yet their music sounds as fresh today as it did in the 1960's.
From "Early in the Morning" to "Don't Laugh at me", all the hits are there in more or less chronological order, including such beloved songs as "500 Miles", "Lemon Tree", "If I had a Hammer", "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" and -- of course -- "Puff, The Magic Dragon". It is hard to think of any trio today who can match the vocal harmonies they achieved by simply singing; no yelling, no screaming, just plain singing.
I enthusiastically recommend this wonderful collection of one of the best singing groups of the 20th Century.
From a product of the '60's October 21, 2009 Rcd Go back to the times when Civil Rights were in the minds of everyone, when the war in Vietnam was a contentious topic and listen again to the voice of folk music as it was performed by one of the pre-eminent groups of the period. This CD brought back so many fond memories of those times when Peter, Paul and Mary touched us all with their outlook on life. Their magic still exists in this CD and serves as a fitting tribute to Mary Travers. RIP
P,P, & M October 18, 2009 John Dickey (Waco, TX) Great album for P,P,& M fans. The recent passing of Mary Travers makes this a much more memorable album.
