| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com This is one of his finest comedy discs, and it remains as fresh and funny as ever. Recorded at the height of his standup popularity, the master raconteur's 1968 album To Russell, My Brother, Whom I Slept With is a fine example of the multi-talented veteran's effortless mastery. Cosby discusses "Baseball" and "Conflict" with his usual blend of impishly winsome insight and flat-out yuks. The 27-minute title track, a memorable meditation on the joys and terrors of childhood, is one of his most resonant achievements. --Scott Schinder

An oldie but a goodie October 26, 2009 MIGS (United States) This cd brought back feelings of nostalgia, my brothers and I sitting in the basement, listening to the reel to reel and laughing our butts off. Even kids can appreciate this very grown up humour. Seller sent item off quickly and in excellent condition. Great value, thanks.
Cosby, as wonderful as ever June 25, 2009 Beth Sandford (Denver, CO) This cd was a gift for my husband as he had owned the record many years ago. It is still as wonderful as those many years in the past and has blessed us with laughter and smiles. I would recommend this for anyone of any age.
The all time classic IMHO May 3, 2009 Paul Lawrence (Australia) All the Cosby albums are a good buy. They are good solid work by a comic who has that knack all great comics have - that of showing the public themselves in the mirror, making fun of them, and still having them love you.
But for me this is the classic LP that the world famed comic ever produced. The first four tracks are relatively short and to the point yet are all funny and yet deal with different topics entirely - the titles of the sketches give a pretty good indication of what they are about. But for me, hearing this for the first time as a teenager, the real tour de force is the final 26:30 track which is also the title track. It's side splittingly funny. Amazing as it now seems to myself I'm quite sure that my mates and I had this whole routine memorised within a short space of time, so frequently did we listen to it while hooting with delight.
Comedy like this doesn't age because people will always be people. And by homing in on that truism Cosby has produced a body of work that is now seemingly almost all available on CD (yippee) and so is easily accessible to new generations of fans.
I cannot recommend this highly enough - good clean family entertainment you can trust, so to speak.
Don't touch my pajamas. March 21, 2009 M. C. Meyer (Minneslota. Ya Den!!) Have "snapshot" memories of childhood in the 60s? Sitting on the floor with my two sisters in my middle class, white family's living room and listening to this album is one of mine.
In the midst of very dark times, this album was a ray of sunlight undeniably making a difference in our lives as a family.
We would move that needle ever so gently as not to scratch the record to play bit pieces like "Don't touch my pajamas" over and over and laugh with hilarity pushing one another to the floor and say "Don't touch my pajamas!!".
An American classic, crossing all cultural lines, Bill said it right when he was on the Today Show on March 21, 2009 & said "It wasn't about white and black, it was about family".
Thanks for being born Bill, and as corny as this might sound, thanks for the memories.

This was one of the hilarious routines that we loved long ago in LP record format. It is a classic and worth being heard by a new generation. Very much enjoyed.
