The Ultimate Soothing Music March 9, 2010 Kathleen A. Anderson (Liberty Township, OH USA) Gregorian chants have been shown to affect brain waves to induce a deep and soothing relaxation and lower the heart rate. I can certainly feel myself entering a more relaxed state upon listening. I would highly recommend this CD for increasing inner peace.
SUPREME GREGORIAN CHANT December 16, 2009 David Hall I have loved Gregorian Chant music since the first instant I ever heard it. I've purchased many Gregorian Chant albums. But this one, LOST IN MEDITATION: MEDITATIVE GREGORIAN CHANTS (Vol. 2), performed by CAPELLA GREGORIANA, that I purchased on-line through Amazon for an amazing bargain price, is absolutely the most beautiful Gregorian Chant album I've ever listened to. There is a pristine clarity, a richness and BEAUTY of sound to the male and female choral artists that are CAPELLA GEORGIANA, that I've never heard before. The album was recorded and/or produced by Delta Music Inc. in Santa Monica, CA in 1994. I'm awaiting Vol.1 which I've also ordered from Amazon. If you are interested in calming, centering, and nurturing your spirit, mind and body, I cannot recommend a better c.d. than this one.
It's $8, stop looking around and just buy it. December 10, 2009 R. Zielinski (MD, US) This is a great CD. I've been listening to "Chant" by Gregorian Chant and The Benedictine Monks of Santo Domingo de Silos for a few years now and decided to look for another disc. The biggest difference between this album and "Chant" is the sound of the monks. While the sound quality on both CD's are great, "Chant" has a cleaner/studio sound where as "Lost in Meditation" has noticeable reverberation as though it was recorded in a great hall/cathedral/monastery. I feel that this subtle echo adds more depth and warmth to the pieces being performed. For $8 this disc is a great buy for people seeking deep, relaxing, meditative religious music. Playing it quietly at night seems to help our infant son go to sleep. It's being docked 1 star because of the lack of any sort of liner notes.

I order two used copies of this book from two different vendors and one did not send the book, so your system must have no way of validating shipments from your vendors.
This is a "thin place" for me March 29, 2008 F. T. Simpson (Pinellas Park, FL USA) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a wonderful sample of Gregorian Chant. For me it is a "thin place," that is, it takes me to a place where the barrier is thin between my spirit and the Spirit of God.
