 VERY BAD CONDUCTION OF JOHN WILLIAMS' MASTERPIECES!! November 20, 2001

Stay away from this CD at all costs!! This conductor called Andrew Lane (a better name would be Andrew Lame!)has lamely conducted John Williams masterpieces. The drums used sound totally different from the ones Williams used, the entire music sounds different with many parts slower/faster than those same parts in John Williams' original music! This guy needs to stay away from all sorts of music forever! If you want these pieces of John Williams's Magic I would suggest that you purchase the original version conducted by John Williams himself.

This recording will certainly fill the void in your collection if you are missing the music of John Williams, who I believe will ultimately be listed along with Gershwin and Copland as the greatest composers of the 20th century. The only disappointment is you will find only a few selections and barely 40 minutes of music. But it is a budget priced item, so we can't complain too much. Very nice recording and performance by the Orlando Pops. ENJOY!
