You wont get tiered of this magical voice September 18, 2008 If you like music and you are somewhat familiar with other than english music, this will blow you away. Erros has this uinque voice that you can listen to all day long and wont get tiered of it. I have every single one of his CD's and even though some of the songs are repeats, I still enjoy listening to him regularly. I basically love his work.
Endless Pleasure! August 28, 2008 Eros is just so amazingly talented it is beyond description. Now take his talent couple it with Tina Turner, Cher and others and you have music that is timeless, beautiful, and inspiring. E2 is one of the few CD's in your collection you can put in the CD player (both CD's) and let it play....
If you like Eros buy E2 - if you love Ero's you better buy 2 sets! I swear I have listened to this CD 100 times in the last month and still find myself choosing it over everything else.

I am satisfied since my friend to whom I gave the CD is happy with it.
Buy it. Eros Never disappoints March 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I "tripped" over Eros 6 years ago on a duet with Bocelli on "Sogno" CD which I still think is one of my favorite Eros songs. I buy everything he comes out with and he's always experimenting with mixes of his songs with different artists. Most are well known and respected outside the US, but we US music snobs feel that the only good music is invented here. I wouldn't buy this as your first Eros CD if you don't own any of his previous discs (Personally "9" is one disc I think always sounds fresh and edgy). There are a few duds on this, but overall it's worth adding to your Eros collection.
3.5 For A Mixed Bag January 16, 2008 7 out of 12 found this review helpful
First things first: I'm a fan. "Calma Apparente" (I discovered last year) was in heavy rotation for MANY months. A great way to discover European pop. 4.5 stars for that CD.
Musical Perspective: I like everything from ABBA to Linkin Park and Vince Gill.
E2: This is a two-CD collection and after listening to the first, I quickly realized that disc one was a train wreck. Almost un-listenable. Specifically, the old "classic Eros" stuff was to blame. I could actually taste the cheese in my mouth as I listened to it; think of late 80s synth-pop in I-talian. I was able to quickly assess that I'd never listen to it again (less some exceptions--the more recent tracks/productions)
Thankfully the second disc makes a spectacular recovery thus saving it from being the poster-child of "Christmas Gift Failures". There are at least two tracks that warrant the coveted "pop perfection" rating and thusly save the entire collection. "Fuoco Nel Fuoco" (a Santana duet that sounds like many other Santana duets--but it works for every second of the track). Likewise, "Piu Bella Cosa" is magical if you love pop and aren't afraid of a little production.
There are certainly more many good songs on disc two, but those two really work...too bad I have no idea what the @#!$# he's saying.
That said, the symphony sessions flirt with being over-dramatic. It kinda feels like..."well, I paid for the band and a composer, let's get the most out them"
All said and done, it's a fine collection--even if it is a bit uneven.
