Great Idea, but I prefer the Slanket March 5, 2010 L. F. O'Neill I saw the infamous infomercial for the Snuggie and ordered one. I was ok with it; it kept me warm. But my dad got the Slanket, and I'm always tempted to take that one. It's larger than the Snuggie, and made with much better material. While it is more expensive (hey, you get what you pay for), part of that money goes to Cancer research. So unless you find a really great deal on the Snuggie, I'd go for the Slanket.
Literally Stinks February 15, 2010 Granny T (Kansas) I received two Snuggies as Chrsitmas gifts. They have an overwhelming smell of a petroleum product, like old tires or dirty oil burning. I have washed them several times and used both liquid fabric softner and dryer sheets to try to be rid or at least cover the smell but nothing works. I can't wash them with anything else becasue the smell transfers to whatever you wash them with. When you walk into the room where they are you are overpowered with the horrible petroleum smell. So I can't tell you how well they work becasue I can't use them.
I should not have purchased this Snuggie! February 12, 2010 Margot M. Tighe I purchased the Snuggie as a gift and had it sent to a nursing home. I was very unhappy and embarrassed to hear that it arrived with a tear under the arm.
Snuggies smell funny February 12, 2010 Katie Gal (Middle of Pennsylvania) Snuggies aren't nearly as cool as I thought. They smell weird and fall down. FAIL
basically what it seems like January 27, 2010 Caraculiambro (La Mancha and environs) Essentially a thick, long hospital gown, with an opening in the back.
Works pretty much the way it's supposed to, but the material seems a magnet for static electricity. Put this on only if you don't mind looking like Yahoo Serious.
