I am suspicious of products that have high "gimmick" potential but this one works. I still prefer to decant and wait a few hours but when you forget this does it in few seconds. I actually can tell no difference. It passes the test of my Italian friends who are even more suspicious of gadgets like this.

I got way more than I expected from this product. It really does work and the wine just tastes better. I've tried others and this one is far superior.

Great product! I did a few taste tests with it. First drinking a little bit of wine without using it, and then putting the Soiree on the bottle and taking another sip of wine that was poured via Soiree. And WOW, i definitely notice a difference! it makes the wine much smoother and more velvet-y. It reduces that acidic "bite" that some wines have. Or makes the taste less alcohol-y. I really enjoy using the Soiree! I have purchased two more as Birthday/Christmas gifts. I have given one of them already (the b-day one obviously..) and my friend absolutely loves it too.

Works great. I like that you can decant/aerate a glass at a time without pouring the whole bottle through.

First off, I may have just gotten a bad one. Here's my experience with the Soiree.
Opened the item just before a dinner party and it didn't fit the first bottle of VA wine. Tried jamming and twisting it in for minutes without luck. Had others try with the same result. Looked at the directions to make sure we were doing things correctly and we were. The directions even said "if it doesn't fit, try it on another bottle." Tried it on two CA wines I always drink and the same thing happened. I then went to the Amazon site to look at the picture to see if anything was different. There was a difference, the rubber fitting on mine was about 1/8" higher and I couldn't budge it. I later found out it was glued or had fused onto the glass and would not come off as I tried to pull, peel, and even put soap on it to get it off. It comes with two rubber fittings, one for most and a larger one for screw top bottles so I know the first one wasn't suppose to be stuck on the unit. I ended up pushing the Soiree on top of a bottle with one hand and flipping the bottle with the other hand to see if it would really aerate the wine. I did notice a slight difference but in the end I was so frustrated with it that I used my old stainless steel aerator and decanter. This unit was sent back. Might try the Vinturi next, at least I know there won't be fitting issues.
Pros: Much better looking in person than in the pictures.
Beautiful hand blown glass.
If you get it to fit, it should aerate well.
Cons: Seems like fragile glass.
Fitting onto the bottles varies with bottle size and some will not fit at all.
