This thing is amazing! I have tried other 'shakers' for whey proteins - in particular Cytogainer - and they all failed miserably. Not only that, but I could not enjoy the shakes. But now...what a difference! I actually look forward to drinking protein shakes again.
With regards to other reviewers stating that it leaks...ummm...no, it does not if you properly seal the top. It might leak if you over fill, but just use common sense there.
Highly recommend to all!

This item is awesome for powdered shakes. I take my meal replacement shakes to work everyday and tried other shakers. This one doesn't leave any clumps and mixes things beautifully. Even leaves some foam on top. PERFECT FOR TRAVELING.

This bottle works as it should for protein shakes. I don't really prefer the blender ball after purchasing and comparing it to different types of bottles. The ball compresses easily and can fall down my sink's disposer opening when I'm cleaning it and I have to fish it out. The cap can also be a bit difficult to open and close on this model, but at least it stays firmly shut.
I think the blender ball mixes protein shakes about as well as other types of bottles with fixed grates in the lid.

These bottles are fantastic. The blender ball included really helps to break up the protein powder. Much, much better than the bottles that have the strainers at the top of the bottle. These you can really shake and get the liquid mixed well with the powder. I tend to use the smaller size and use 1-2 scoops of protein powder with 8-10 oz of milk. I put the milk and powder in prior to going to work and drink in the afternoon - never having an issue with leakage. The seal is fantastic, can be tipped on it's side etc without leaking. Closure on the top fastens securily with a click and the top screws on tightly.
Highly recommended.

This shaker is awesome. Because I work out I need protein shake and this shaker helps me a a lot. It mixes the whey with milk very well. I don't even have to use the ball.
