Works OK, but make sure the size you order matches your dog November 20, 2009 M. Curtis My dog is the sheddingest canine ever. I heard that the Furminator was the best tool for the job, so went ahead and ordered the medium size.
My dog is about 30 lbs., dachshund mix (with what else? I dunno.), and usually walks around in a cloud of loose fur. The Furminator takes care of this, but requires too many strokes: Even though my dog is what I'd call medium, with the medium Furminator, it takes too long to get the job done. I should've got the large instead.
Bottom line: Yes, get the Furminator...but consider ordering the next size up for whatever kind of dog you have. Chihuahua owner? Get the medium. Great dane? I dunno what to tell you, except buy the largest size they've got, then plan on spending all afternoon furminating.
the furminator November 19, 2009 J. Soto this will most definitely get the hair off you pet. I use it on my cat, the hair doesn't stop coming off, I comb her on each for about 15-20 minutes at least once a week. you will be amazed by how much hair comes off.
Hair be-gone November 18, 2009 LaVonda Horrar This product removes an amazing amount of hair. I was astounded by the hair which came from my dogs that I didn't think shed very much. I have two 'negatives'. It's best potential is when used with the full system which is not intended for home use. I don't have a high powered dryer, etc. Second, my dogs don't seem to like it much. However, I will reiterate, this product removes a huge amount of hair. More than brushing could ever accomplish.
FURminator November 18, 2009 Janet E. Parks (Boise, Idaho) The Furminator was just as advertised and works very well in deshedding my Australian Shepherd. The price was great.
Furminator Medium Deshedding Tool 2.75" November 16, 2009 Shosh (Houston, TX) Works better than any brush or comb I have tried.
It was worth every penny !
