 I Cannot believe the difference! November 17, 2009

If you read alot of books, people are always putting the tea kettle on and then PRESTO they have tea. I never could understand the interest until I bought this teamaker. I cannot believe the difference proper brewing makes. I love it so much I bought 1 for home, 1 for work, and 1 for the vacation home. Now I am trying how many to order for Christmas presents.

This is fairly easy to use, I have it set up in my office and use it more than once, daily.
The temperature brewing really does make difference. Every cup of tea comes out perfect.
I would recommend to anyone who likes tea, and I always recommend looking on Amazon for it because the original price is way too high. I couldn't believe the deal I struck on Amazon.
My one caution is that it really does need daily cleaning if used that much, and that is really the only minor downfall, lots of parts to make sure are clean.

I bought this based on the hype from the web site. When I got it home, I read up on how it exactly works. Here is the most important thing you need to know, the tea ALWAYS hit the water at the same temperature no matter what. Then the water continues to heat after the leaves are in the water. The water DOES get hotter for black tea than it does for green but it does that after the tea is dropped into the water, DURING the brewing process not before. The TIMER seems to work fine. It does brew LONGER for stronger tea and shorter for weaker. But your leaves hit water when that water reaches a factory set temp and there is NOTHING you can do about it.
I read the manual thoroughly and discovered many glaring inconsistencies. On page 3 it says to NEVER put the ceramic pieces (tea pot, cups and tray) into the dishwasher or microwave. At the TOP of page 10 it again says in bold, DO NOT PLACE IN DISHWASHER. Then in the VERY NEXT PARAGRAGH it says that the ceramic pieces (tea pot, cups and tray) are DISHWASHER and MIRCROWAVE SAFE!!
I contacted customer service via e-mail and all I cut was cut and paste responses from blurbs on their website. They didn't even answer the questions that I asked. When asking about whether the ceramic was dishwasher and microwave safe, their response was..
