I wanted to write a review of this ring for a couple of reasons:
Nobody had reviewed this particular ring yet, and
I really appreciated reading other customers' reviews when I was trying to make such a difficult decision.
This ring has an identical brother that offers a 1/2 carat if that might be better suited to some people. That ring's reviews would probably also be useful to anyone considering this ring.
Like those reviews, I'll say that while the ring's band is a bit thinner than it appears in the photo, it's a great ring. It's beautiful, feminine, and the diamond's size is substantial. I had no concept of carats before ordering this ring, and I now feel confident that this size is quite sufficient. However, if you know your partner has explicitly stated a desire for a large diamond, then by all means...go up a 1/2 carat or more. If you just want a ring that is well designed, modest, and will be loved by its future owner, then this is your ring.
Also, I fumbled a bit on the sizing when I ordered. I initially ordered a size 6, since that's "average" before finally getting a hold of my girlfriend's jewelry box and discovering that she's a 7 1/2. I emailed DivaDiamonds, and received an almost immediate response from a representative named Ryan. He was incredibly courteous, changed my size just in time, and I received the ring exactly 2 days later fully wrapped and in a classic black ring box.
So for all those guys who need a helping hand selecting a ring for the down to earth girl, this is a safe bet.
