Great product and great price! March 19, 2010 M. Beehn (Wisconsin) Great product at a great price! I intalled it with no problems and it looks nice.
Only negative is that the cable management seemed a little tight. Overall a great product!
Omnimount Tria 1 March 16, 2010 Robert Cannici (Portland, OR.) I love these component wall mounts. I have the Omnimount Tria 3 in the living room and the Omnimount Tria 1 in the bedroom. These work exactly as advertised and are very simple to install. The only tricky part is running all of your cables. If you are running all HDMI like I am this is simple, but if you have component cables as well then good luck it will take awhile as the cable tracks are not very wide. All in all this product works perfect for me.
High-Quality AV Wall Shelf with one issue March 12, 2010 Feeling English (Urbandale, IA) As I didn't have enough space for my traditional media center, I needed a shelf on the wall to put my hardware.
This shelf looks very nice, and is fairly straight forward with installation. As the seperate shelf backbones can interlock it's cheaper to buy 2 single shelves vs the double-shelf product and put them together.
I REALLY like the look of these shelves. The glass is stylish, and it seems to hold the components well. ONE PROBLEM. The screws provided for using into a wood stud are the biggest pain in the a** to get flush into the wall. They are NOT wood boring screws. The manufacturer should've provided bolts that could be cranked into
the wall, or screws that are meant to go into wood studs.
Oh and you HAVE to mount this into a stud, there's no way an anchor will support not only the hardware, but the equipment you put on it.
So after a very frustrating time of unable to hand or power drill the screws FLUSH into the wall, I took out 3 of my 2" deck screws -- that I used to build my daughter's playground set -- and used those to add additional support into the wall stud.
That being said, I'm very happy with the final result. The cord alley can be covered so you can't see my additional screws and it can hold several cords behind it without being cramped. These cost much more at my local store, so it's definitely a great bargain.
Big Let Down March 4, 2010 James Morales (Hoboken, NJ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The shelf itself looks great, although it came to my surprise when installing that the shelf did not hide the wires of the unit actually on the glass. For example, it cover the power cord coming down from the TV above it well, also other cable lines that I have running up to it. HOWEVER, the cable box that I got the shelf for which is on the glass has no entrance for wire behind the plastic molding to be hidden, therefore they run up the wall to the TV exposed, exactly what I was trying to prevent. And it blows my mind how the instructions specifically have a step hide wires with a drawn picture describing the wires going behind the plastic, though if you were to actually try it, once your put them behind the plastic the cover cannot move up or down depending on which direction your sliding it on. For the appearance alone of the shelf without anything on it, it looks sweet. But as soon as I put the unit on the shelf with the wire hanging out I'm back to point A.
nice, well built product March 2, 2010 Guru Prasad Kithlanagamangala (Norwalk, CT, USA) installation was easy, looks great, cable management cud have been better, but no complains, good price, I got two and put them one above the other... suits my needs, glad i bought
